Kings win. 11-3 on the year, 7-0 at home.

What a joke of officiating that game was. There were 5 straight Kings PPs in the 3rd period before Dallas got another? Then the refs try to even it up by calling every little thing that happened. I thought the first and second period was some of the best hockey I'd seen all year, till that circus act in the the 3rd.

Quick played amazing tonight, Dallas seemed really frustrated at the end that none of the dirty goals were going in. Props.

I watched the video on NHL.com of them discussing the potential winners of the Art Ross Trophy this year. Do these guys even watch hockey? Rosen says Ovechkin. Giannone says Crosby and bashes Ovechkin saying he never passes and just shoots. Given his history in shot totals, I'd agree. But Ovechkin is passing a shit ton more and making a lot of good plays. I'm actually really enjoying all of these televised Caps games.

One of the Sedin's. My god so much scoring the past few days. Blues got owned yesterday and i'm quite happy about it. Hate the Blues as they're gonna be this years Avalanche. Kings are a scary team in the west.

Quick is playing amazing and is just not giving up much. Kings have only had their whole defensive unit together for a game and half which is scary. Their 7th defensemen, Muzzin, has looked pretty solid and has filled in well for Greene, Doughty and now Mitchell.

This team refuses to get pushed around by anyone and will step up and play you physical right back.

This team should win the Pacific this year.

7. For how solid defensively Zybnek Michalek was supposed to be I am not impressed with him at all. Perhaps I'm comparing him too much to The Piece.

A) Bylsma seriously should give the PP coaching back to an assistant, if none of them are quality PP coaches they need to go out and find a dedicated quality PP coach to put on staff. They weren't fantastic before but they've been just plain awful since he took over doing it himself, the head coach has bigger shit to worry about.

B) Michalek still looks better than Martin.

I'd like to thank Toronto, for the last two years they have made every other Canadian team look great in comparison. Even the Oilers who at least have high draft picks coming their way.

And so begins my early season Penguins rant. I have rage. Nerd rage levels. Seppuku will probably agree with me on most of these.
1. Brent Johnson is a backup goalie. He is reverting to his back up form.
2. Fleury is the starting goaltender. If he doesn't play he won't get out of the gaping abyssal hole he's in right now.
3. Console doesn't have that aura of invincibility that Mellon Arena used to convey. Teams would walk in knowing this was the Penguins house.

5. Goligoski while I appreciate your offensive skills, your defensive skills are on par with mine ie almost nonexistent.
6. Tony Granato always looks like he murdered someone when they interview him.

Things I like so far.
1. Deryk Engelland will fight anyone near him.
2. Mark Letestu has been a pleasant surprise.
3. The Penguins lead the league in fighting majors and Eric Godard isn't even leading the team in the category(see aforementioned Deryk Engelland.)

Scuds never had much respect here because he wasn't a flashy big name guy. People that follow and understand hockey realized how big a defensive presence is. It was a sad day when he joined the Kings, but he would have been an idiot to stay in Pittsburgh for a shit load less money.

I take it that's a step above the way that I look like I'm trying to mop the floor of an IHOP bathroom when I stickhandle. And I'd guess it's because Duff never actually goes to his games, lol
