1 year, $$$ I dont remember or maybe it wasn't mentioned - but yeah just 1 year, he's like 37 and its only cause Josh Harding is out for this year. He may be the most underrated goalie in the league. I remember last season's opening month of the thread predicting Jose Theodore to have a monster year in the wake of his son's death and everyone was like LOLyeahrightitsVarlamovsjobTheodorewillbeluckytopl aylolololololol and Theo held the job all year long and had that 16 or w/e game win streak. Its not his fault the Washington PP couldn't score vs Montreal and Mike Green sucks dick. But seriously, said it last year, go check it, and Im saying it this year, hes very underrated (although he wont be taking Backstrom's starting job).

I remember you saying this, I just didn't think Boudreau had the confidence in Theo to start him consistently. If not for nagging injuries to Varly all year, he probably wouldn't have. After getting the hook in the first round two straight years, it's clear he was never "their guy." But yeah the Caps won 17 straight after the new year and Theo had like 16 of those wins. Backstrom's coming off a shaky year so I wouldn't be surprised if Theo plays more than your typical caddy does, maybe 30-35 starts.

Wings playing 4 roster players + Jimmy Howard today, Leafs look to have roughly the same lineup as last night, and are starting Giggy. I really wish they would start Howard with the A team and Osgood/the AHL guys with the B team. Will be cool to see the A team vs the Pens tomorrow, but with Osgood starting nothing good will come of it.

Kopecky, easily. Versteeg has skills, Kopecky has a friendship with Hossa.

Apparently that's good enough, lol. They like the way he skates with Hossa, so it looks like the first line will be Kopecky/Toews/Hossa with a second line of something along the lines of Brouwer/Sharp/Kane to start the season. I'd prefer Brouwer/Toews/Kane and Stalberg/Sharp/Hossa, but it seems they want Hossa with Toews and don't want to break up Kopecky/Hossa.
