Sidney Crosby is so fucking awesome that i dont even mind that hes getting Thoronas back into the weekly fantasy matchup against me. 14 game point streak and 4 points ahead of Stamkos but hey Sports Illustrated, write about Mr. Never Been to the Playoffs instead.

Yeah but nobody likes Sidney Crosby, plus he's pretty much guaranteed to be the best or close to the best in the NHL for awhile to come. Stamkos gets written about because he's hot, he's (somewhat) new, and they may never get the chance again if TB turns into a pumpkin again at the stroke of midnight.

What an erroneous statement. There are Penguins fans, hockey purists, and just outright Canadumbs who all love Sid. The latter two especially get a hard on for Sid when hes compared to Ovechkin.

If you didn't understand, I meant beyond the obvious fans who are almost obligated to like him he really isn't liked. If he hadn't scored the Golden Goal most Canadians wouldn't give a shit about him, and saying that Pens fans like their captain, leading scorer and best player isn't much of a statement. "Hockey purists" are split from everything that I've seen, most respect him but far less actually like him.

Anyone who watches every Pens game knows no one works harder and has less to play with than Crosby. All they see is a highlight of him sliding on the ice and assume he's doing nothing but diving. They don't see him having to compensate for a lack of skilled wingers and getting put on his ass before that.

I see 3 or 4 plays a game where Crosby sets up Dupuis or Kunitz perfectly, only to have them miss the net or make a bad pass back.

Amen, its a shame we have an ex-Thrasher 3rd liner and an Anaheim reject who makes about 3x what he should on Sid's wings. Its a shame, but the only people who've ever seemed to manage to play half-decent with Sid are old as fuck geezers like Mark Recchi and Bill Guerin but they're slow and no help on the rush.

I don't understand why Bylsma doesn't just say fuck it and loads up the first line with Malkin and Crosby. Malkin doesn't seem to be doing much on the second line and I'm sure he would do well on Crosbys wing outside of the power play.

Crazy Rangers/Islanders game.. Rangers go up 2-0, Islanders push back with 3 unanswered goals to make it 3-2. Rangers pull Biron, put in Lundy, Rangers score 3 goals to make it 5-3. Islanders score 2 goals in 2 minutes to tie it up, then Gabby gets his 3rd seconds later for the hat trick.

This is a pretty good game so far. Caps are outplaying the Stars slightly, but the chances on both side have been really really good. It's like the exact definition of a skill-passing game, neither side is playing gritty or hard defense lol. So its all crisp passing and great chances.
