Actually, he was sent to Wheeling just in case Fleury doesn't start tonight, he's not at 100% health (illness), and calling up Killeen was a just-in-case move so that we'd have two goalies ready for tonight. I'd be concerned if he was sent to WBS, but he was only sent to Wheeling, which is an hour away as opposed to an entire state away. Tangradi will be playing tonight, there's nothing to worry about.

--Some sort of waiver stipulation they're going to exploit with him.
--He has a bad attitude and partied a lot and this is a wake-up slap.
--He was taking his NHL-ness for granted and was being lazy and this is a wake up slap.

From what I read its cap stuff, gotta send someone down to be under the cap before LTIR kicks in or some shit. Last year the stars had to do it too with Jamie Benn and someone else I think. Basically they road the bus to Austin and once got there immediately road the bus back.

The Pens are doing with Tangradi what a few others are doing. Sending him down on off days to reduce cap hit/bringing him back up to play. It's really shitty for the guy since they do have to report to the minor league affiliate. I heard the Ducks did a similar thing with Bobby Ryan in his rookie season.
