The Pens are doing with Tangradi what a few others are doing. Sending him down on off days to reduce cap hit/bringing him back up to play. It's really shitty for the guy since they do have to report to the minor league affiliate. I heard the Ducks did a similar thing with Bobby Ryan in his rookie season.

Yeah the Canucks did that with a bunch of our players including our back up goalie Corey Schneider. This cap stuff is fucking bullshit. We had to hire an assistant GM to deal solely with the cap constraints and salaries.

Yes, the Avs must stay in Denver. Phoenix however can get it's ass back to Winnipeg if they would be so kind. Speaking of, has anyone heard anything yet on if the city found a new buyer for the team? Since they had til the end of this year I thought otherwise they'd be able to be moved....?

Avs have SERIOUS attendance issues. When I went to a Wings/Avs game last year, the attendance was well under capacity (listed at about 400 under capacity, it seemed far fewer than that., and it seemed like a good half of the people there were Wings fans. The Wings draw pretty well on the road and it is a rivalry, albeit a slightly old rivalry now, so it was slightly disheartening. The Pepsi center is a nice venue too, although I dislike the fact that almost all of the banners/advertising inside is for the Nuggets.

edit: Also the Consol Energy Center should have put in 18,787 seats, 18k is too few and with my idea you get DOUBLE 87s.
