Buffalo completely dominated them. It was refreshing for me to watch, minus the two soft goals they decided to give up at the end of the 2nd.

I thought Buffalo was gonna walk out of there losing 6-1.

No, he's not lol. He's floating all over and acting like he's allergic to the metal that the goals are made out of, won't come within 10 feet of it.

I haven't been able to watch the past couple of games outside of the detroit game (wife sick plus cata launch) but when Marleau's confidence goes in the tank, he acts like he's allergic to the puck and doesn't know what to do. It's part of the reason they stripped him from being Captain a couple years ago. In typical Marleau fashion, in a couple of weeks the light will go on in his damn head and he'll beast mode it till the playoffs like last year. At this point I almost feel like they need to drop him down to the third line and try to get some of that confidence back.

That said, it's been painful to watch lately. They will stink it up one night, then go give a top team an ass whuppin like they did against Chicago and Detroit, then shit it back up again.

This is why I don't want to waive him. I know he'll get better, or at least I hope he will. Alfredsson on the other hand I'll trade for a bag of pucks or a half empty can of Molson Canadian.
