Good game, was hoping Pens would at least get one back to make it closer

also expecting gold from Sep later, hopefully he at least got some cool pics
Horrible officiating in the Winter Classic both ways, sucks it ended up being in favor of the Capitals in the end though. Fun game to watch non-the-less, can't wait to see what HBO does with the footage.
I'd like to have a word with whoever the director was for NBC, though. The overhead camera angles were fucking horrendous.
Only caught the 2nd and 3rd because of my flight home but damn was that a weird game. Ice looked like shit, horrible conditions for hockey. Reffing was fucking weird, I figured a half dozen of easy calls were going to be made but they weren't, surprised they didn't dole out anything for that mess that was made at the end of the game. It was unfortunately sloppy because of the conditions too.
And the camerawork was fucking. atrocious. Not only were the wides/above angles dumb, but they couldn't keep track of the puck worth shit.
Also the Steelers are better at potting empty netters than the Pens from what I have seen this year.
Roloson gets traded the day after he beats the Wings, to the Lightning for a former 1st rounder.
Pros:
-Lightning acquire a goalie not named Ellis or Smith
-Not like the Isles can get worse (jk they just traded away the only reason they are better than the Devils this year)
Cons:
-Roloson is fucking 41
Other:
-How the fuck are the Isles still above the cap floor after trading away 2 of their few players who were actually making money
e: also #danellisproblems
Great pickup for the Bolts imo, interested to see how this works out for them
I am more interested to see how it works out for the Isles, either they are thinking "fuck it we want the overall #1" or someone has disillusioned them and they now incorrectly believe that DiPietro is NOT made of glass.
If Rolly keeps up his play it will be a fantastic acquisition by the Bolts. He's also used to playing behind shitty defenses so hey!
Since i can't have my wish of stands being built all the way up to the glass for the winter classic, why don't they use all the wasted space to build a fucking camera stand so we don't get the 500 miles away angle the entire game? This would also hopefully eliminate the stupid wire cam. At the same time, get some camera operators that can actually follow the puck. There, i've single handedly out produced NBC.
double post =/
Replace Olczyk and Emrick with Sepukku and Abraxas, with analysis by Isladar between the benches.
Golden.
Carissa Thompson for some eye candy too?
Yes of course, and the chick who Favre sent pictures of his wang to.
Gary Thorne has to have some role in all this.
Winter Classic was boring this year,
The Condition were attrocious, they got lucky the puck never got stuck on the ice and most other shit
One of the reason that they make the Winter Classic is to sell the sport in the USA, then do it where hockey isisn't popular damnit!
Washington Pittsburgh buffalo boston chicago MTL, all these places already have hockey fans and lots of them,
Go somewhere like Atlanta, or Las Vegas urgh
Issue being the places with weather suitable for it also are where hockey is popular, outside of maybe Columbus. This is about 95% of the reason why hockey is popular in those places, and not in Atlanta, etc.
Im sure Atlanta las Vegas can have good weather for 1 game
Next year winter classic in Phoenix on rollerblades
NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE goal my Plec
