Finally home and sober enough to write about the WC. Thought both teams played a hell of a game. First of all, there's nothing funny about Jay Beagle you assholes. Second, Dan Bylsma's hat was bad and he should feel bad. Did he swipe it from Jason Mraz before the game? If you're gonna rock a legit men's hat, think Humphrey Bogart or at least Tom Landry. Third, Alex Semin is a fucking ghost. He's been such a non-factor for so long I wonder if anyone would even trade for him right now. Thought the other three lines played very well, and all six D had a good game. Great penalty by Green in the 1st, he's really been good since his MCL sprain. Don't know if it was the conditions or not but the Pens offense didn't seem to get great chances all night and the 0-for on the PP didn't help. Crosby and Malin both getting 24+ minutes just shows the lack of scoring depth. The officiating was shit for both teams, especially both disallowed goals. Erskine fighting and getting an assist was awesome. And how great is Fehrsy, huh? And not just for his hot wife and generosity with the nig nogs. All in all, amazing game, can't wait for Wednesday.

Funny how Caps fans were all over Semin at the start of the season and loving him, scared that he was scoring too many goals and the Caps would lose him.

Also the Avs apparently had 7 men on the ice for the last 20 seconds of the Avs/Nucks game, now I really wish they had scored so that all 7 got a plus and there was tons of shit about it.

It was that kind of night. Refs missed a bunch of shit Colorado did, one canuck was on the ice getting punched by two avs and the canuck gets the penalty.

I don't know how well the ice would play in 60+ degree weather in Vegas, I mean it is a desert and all. It's part of the reason why I kind of don't want one played in the bay area. Mid 40's temps would be fine, but we get a lot of rain out here and would probably be worse then what it was at pittsburg. I'd prefer to keep it in places where 40's would be the norm, with maybe snow but low rain chance and bring in a rivalry team or a high end team from a warm weather market. Detroit vs Colorado/SJ would be amazing, Phoenix vs Chicago or Vancouver, Tampa vs Boston, etc etc.

Tonight sharks begin a 3 game home stretch starting with Vancouver. Please let this be the turning point for the sharks, my heart can't take much more stress and heartachce, especially with how football went this year

I was always of the mind that we should keep him one more year and see how he does come playoff time. I can say "small sample size" about his performances in April all I want, but at some point he has to produce. His goal explosion at the beginning of the season was just a double-edged sword, because if he kept up that pace and we wanted to re-sign him it would get very expensive. Now, I'm not even sure we should think about keeping him past 2011. Honestly the first reason I would is because of how it might affect Ovechkin, who else will he go to Russia House with?
