Jordan Pearce recalled from Grand Rapids, MacDonald goes back down. I've heard Pearce looks terrible in the AHL, this move is somewhat frightening.

On the other hand there are rumors going around that the NMC on Nabby's new contract may prevent him from being claimed by another team on waivers. The wording is vague enough that people are thinking Holland might get away with a loophole-esque signing.

Have you seen who the Islanders have for goalies right now? This is probably the smartest thing Garth Snow has done since... ever.

The thing that doesn't make sense is that the Islanders have little to no chance of getting out of the bottom 5. They have done nothing to make themselves a better team, but now they take a goalie with a 1 year deal and a NMC that they can't trade without him going back on waivers. It would be a good move for them, but it's kind of shitty for Nabby.
