Why the hell does Bray May have a TV job? If you're gonna pick up an ex-player, should be someone more intelligent and a better perspective of the game of hockey. Dude is a goon and is a cause of Moore getting his back owned by Bertuzzi and 2 NHL teams.
Blow out in Vancouver tonight. Was entertaining to see Burish vs. Burrows. Seems the hate still runs deep between these 2. Both douches, unless they play for your team. Lol.
Oh man, another major concussion tonigh to Savard. With Crosby being the face of the NHL and speaking out. Think the NHL will take the OHL route and ban any hit to the head? Oh and before you Crosby haters chime in, dude is the face of the NHL. If he can't get some change to head shots, doubt anyone else will.
Head shots are already under scrutiny, and refs miss calls all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if nothing happens, as the league is already looking into the issue.
Vancouver is the Canadian team I wish the Leafs could be - not winning Cups and nobody harping them for it. Oh well, at least we're still the Best in Ontario
You must not pay very much attention to the Canucks if you believe no one harps on the Canucks for never winning anything. Believe me we're all aware of it and it's why we wait hate Calgary so much, they've won one and still act cocky about it. Well at least some of their fans do.
Hell, I'm in Chicago and even I know that Vancouver media/fans are always on the team to win lol.
On NHL 09 and NHL 10, I was on an online BAP club with a guy from Vancouver. It was always glorious when they lost, it was like an on and off switch with him.
The wrath of Garth Snow. Nabokov is being suspended by the Islanders for not reporting. No one hangs up on Garth Snow, no one.
haha, Garth Snow with the ultimate cock-block.
Garth Snow is a douchebag, terrible person and terrible GM. This is one of the (many) reasons no one wants to play for the Islanders. Guy goes on waivers and specifically states that he wants to content for the starting job on a team that he can help into and through the playoffs. Garth Snow picks him up, and suspends him because he doesn't want to play for the shitty team - something he already explicitly stated. Will now try to roll over the contract to next season, possibly forcing Nabby's hand and making him either retire early or play for the Islanders (for about one eighth of what DiPietro is making - jokes abound here).
That's some bush league shit.
Most. Epic. Dive. Ever.
Watching the game it didn't really look like a dive, more like Ovechkin just lost his balance. Most definitely was not a trip either.
Also not BAWWWing, while I would love for Detroit to get Nabby there was little to no chance of that from the start. It was a douche move by Snow. There is 0 chance for the Isles get any return for him this season due to the waiver rules, and little chance beyond that. While Nabby isn't innocent in this matter either by refusing to play for a club that obtained him a legal manner, I think he made the choice most hockey players would in his position.
I love when the refs kind of throw up their hands and put both guys in the box. Four minutes to two guys for a tripdive.
Yeah the re-entry rules definitely suck, but they're sort of necessary to prevent defections to the KHL to circumvent the cap and waivers. Nabokov knew this was a risk when he left the NHL, and I feel bad because Detroit sounded like a perfect fit for him. But once again the Islanders and Snow have no real reason not to do this. It's leverage (albeit a small amount) on the upcoming goalie market for under $600k.
Goddamnit I was looking at capgeek to check some numbers, and every time I see Tom Poti's almost $3 million cap hit for next season AND '12-'13 I fucking rage.
Philly scores on a 5-on-3, MTL got three fucking penalties in a little over a minute
[edit] lol, and again
5-3 x2 lol...
Way to screw yourself right at the end of the first period Habs >.<
As opposed to the Hawks screwing themselves right at the beginning of the first period.
nvm ^_^_^_^
