I fully expect the Av's to sky rocket to 4th place after the return of Peter Forsberg propels the team on a 20 game winning streak.

the fuck lol, need video of that, sounds like the greatest start to a game ever
Man, it's so depressing watching any games in Atlanta. I'd say they're only at 20% capacity tonight with the Flames in town. You know, their original team?... A shame, cause the game has been pretty damn good so far. Both sides pushing hard.
Raycroft's fantasy stats for the night: 90.00 GAA, 0.00 sv%.
I guess a couple of teams are kicking the tires on Ray Emery for the end-of-season stretch, would be cool to see him back in the league.
6 wins in a row and points in 11 out of 12 games. Flames making the West a little more interesting =D!
clearly that's what's needed
Yeah, at the same time, at this point last year it looked like Tim Thomas was going to spend the remainder of his giant contract as a severely overpaid under-achieving backup, throw some surgery at him and kablammo he's the bionic super-goalie.
and..... James Reimer gets Toronto's FIRST shutout of the season lol. That's horrifying to go that long in the season without a shutout.
Whats more sad, is the Stars lost all 3 of those fights.
double
Who was it that wondered about the spin o rama? Leino with another one last night.

his one earlier this season, not nearly as nice as last nights.
We were talking about a spin o rama on a breakaway/shootout and how it shows up goalies allegedly. I'm still of the opinion if you don't want to look like a fool, stop the shot lol.
Oh I agree then. You have no place to whine and cry if you get beat. I could understand if you're breaking it out in a 7-1 game to tack on another goal as showing someone up but if you're in SOs, you do whatever you can to win. I just love seeing it during non breakaway/SO/Penalty shot situations.
That's the first time Ive seen it used to actually score in a long time. Was wondering how the hell Nittymaki let it in but then noticed Hartnell in front of the net. Pretty nifty.
