About a month or two ago the Bruins were like 8 points ahead with a good 3-4 games in hand, so I'm very pleased :D

Though Boston's got an easy schedule coming up, 4 of their next 6 games are against teams all but mathematically written out of playoff contention.

The shit with the Islanders being painted as the total bad guys is hilarious. Martin and Gillies did absolutely retarded shit, but comparing Martin's sucker punch to Bertuzzi's is fucking absurd on top of the fact that the Isles basically just flipped the fuck out over 2-3 previous games chock full of Penguins cheap shots.

From Elias: The goaltending matchup in Saturday's Ottawa at Edmonton game was the worst in NHL history, at least by one measure. Both starting goaltenders, the Senators' Brian Elliott and the Oilers' Nikolai Khabibulin, entered play with 13-decision winless streaks: Elliott 0-9-4 and Khabibulin 0-13-0. It was the first NHL game ever in which both starting netminders had current winless streaks of 11 or more consecutive decisions that season. The only previous NHL game in which the starting goaltenders were both on double-digit winless streaks was played by the Penguins and Golden Seals in Oakland on March 17, 1971. Pittsburgh's starter, Al Smith, was winless in his last 12 decisions and California's starter, Gary Smith (no relation to Al), had not won any of his last 10 decisions. Gary beat Al in that game, 5-2. Getting back to Ottawa and Edmonton, Elliott ended his winless streak with a 5-3 victory, extending Khabibulin's winless (and losing) streak to 14 games.

There was also no mention by Lemiuex of how the Pens lead the league in fighting majors. But everyone else makes the league a 'garage league' that he doesn't want to be a part of. I don't recall him having problems when Ulf Samuelsson was his teammate, lol.

How can you complain about the league being garbage when the previous game your own player, dubbed probably the dirtiest player in the game (WOOOOOOO), recieved his second...what the fuck, only two suspensions after all the dirty hits I've seen him pull...well anyways, you employ the dirtiest player in the game and complain about the league being garbage. I also love how everyone is blaming Steckel, when in fact Crosby played the very next game against the Bolts and took another hit (from Hedman I think?) which forced him out.

It's probably their broadcast group that makes it the worst. Our home announcers often give credit to other teams for good plays, call out our players when they make terrible decisions(like Hjalmarsson killing the Sabres player early in the season), and don't just ignore when the team does something badly. I watch a lot of out of market games and no other team's announcers are that bad about it. Dallas' don't do it, the Leafs' guys don't do it to that extent, I can't understand what the fuck the guys on RDS are saying but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

My worst fear atm is that the Flyers TV guy will get replaced with Steigerwald in NHL12 and I'll never be able to play another EA hockey game again.
