While I don't disagree and love to take an opportunity to hate on the Sharks, I was referring to Jyakku's question regarding Zherdev. Not Thornton.

I know, I know. It's still early but I think between the Anderson trade and the Stewart, Shattenkirk trade Colorado is going to be a weaker team in the long run.

Edit: Also I don't consider Elliott to be a goalie equal to Anderson in talent.

I don't consider him equal either, but Anderson was not playing well behind a team that was playing like shit, not like anyone they traded for would do much better. I would like to agree that they will come up on the short end in both trades, but getting Johnson in return for Stewart and Shatt might come up as the better side in that trade in the long run. I would say Johnson is less of an unknown value, while the other two both have a lot of potential to be good players, but could also bust (Shattenkirk moreso here).
