Obviously I'm reserving my judgment of Neal for when he plays with Crosby, but Neal did have some decent chances tonight -- as a Penguins fan, watching him in only two games, he turned into a completely different player in overtime, would like to see him hustle like that for the whole game. It's a shame Staal is only productive with third line wingers though, I wonder what the consensus is about his value amongst the league now that he's shown he's not a capable first line center like a lot of people expected he could be, on a team that doesn't include Crosby or Malkin.

Something that happened pretty slowly, and I didn't even notice until today: Corey Crawford is now #2 in the league in GAA and #6 in SV%. Maybe Sep wouldn't complain about the MAF <> CC comparisons now, lol.

Fleury has a .509 W%, Crawford .583. I still like Turco and still firmly believe that on most of his losses the defense was to blame much more than he was, but he's barely won a third of his starts.

Reimer was shaken up early in the second period when he was hit on his helmet by the knee of Atlanta's Evander Kane(notes), who was called for goaltender interference.
