oh joy, a shootout
God bless you, Crawford.
Crawford huge in the shootouts, Hawks still barely riding the playoff line for now
Thanks 4sassagecam, as always :3
That will never happen while Bettman is at the helm, he's said countless times how much he loves the 4-on-4 OT and SO.
I don't disagree, either. It's nerve-wracking as balls when your team's involved in one, but it's exciting, I think it draws in casual fans, and it produces some pretty good highlight reel goals.
The answer should be 3 points for regulation win, 2 points for OT/SO win, 1 point for OT/SO loss. Every game is 3 points, just makes sense to me.
Nothing too exciting at the start of the trade deadline day, but so far:
•Atlanta trades Niclas Bergfors & Patrick Rissmiller to Florida for Radek Dvorak & a 2011 5th round pick.
•Washington trades prospect Jake Hauswirth and a 2011 3rd round pick to Florida for Dennis Wideman.
Jimmy Howard re-signs for 2 years, $4.5m (2.25 cap hit). Should be a good deal as long as he and the team get away from the middle of the season slump he had this year.
e: Brad Boyes to Buffalo for a 2nd rounder.
TSN's trade deadline day special has been as brutally boring as everyone pretty much expected. The highlight so far has been the crotch shot of Jay Onrait.
One year ago today. Let us not forget. *Fist pump!*
Have the day off and no big trades. 2 hours left. Come on 4th line player!
Oh man Down Goes Brown just got all his twitter followers to message Joffrey Lupul and wish him well with the NY islanders. This then caused everyone else to wonder what the fuck happened, thinking he'd actually been traded. Easily the best thing to happen today.
Oh yeah Phoenix and Columbus trade some players I don't care about.
TSNBobMcKenzie:
OTT trades Campoli to CHI for a draft pick and a player in the minors. Trade call pending
TheFourthPeriod:
Hawks pick up Chris Campoli from Sens
edit: fuck twitter
