What an OT for the leafs. It started with Phaneuf in his own end. He does his best Paul Coffey impersonation, skating the length of the ice down the far side to the face off circle, deking penguins as he lumbers along, and starts waiting for open players.

Then, tape to tape pass to Gunnarson at the near point, who goes tape to tape to kessel at the near face off circle, who goes tape to tape with Grabbo, who is now completely alone in the slot. Easy 5 hole shot after that, you could have fit a beach ball through MAF after the cross-ice Tic-Tac-Toe antics.

Some thoughts:

-Despite letting in two softies, Reimer was .931 on the night.

-Grabovski's game winner ends a 7 game drought, which was good after a frankly embarrassing miss on a breakaway..

-The Phil Kessel "X goals in Y games" stat keeps changing to make him look better every time he scores. I think this is now 8 goals in 8 games, with 14 or 15 points in the last 10.

-Ovechkin is now in danger of being passed by Russkiy Kulemin for goals scored.

-Some of our breakout passes looked really stupid, especially during that snoozer 2nd period. Did Kaberle ever tell this team you can't pass pucks through body parts?

-Kris Versteeg has been non-factorriffic on the Flyers so far. What are the odds he scores tomorrow?
