final score was 5-1. Crosby sat out the third. Franzen got injured and left in the first - supposedly not that serious. Osgood was pulled, and there was a ton of penalty minutes.

Good night for the Caps, Varly a perfect 20/20 between the pipes and Flash had two goals as a centerman. Ovechkin, Backstrom, Knuble, Green, Schultz and Poti were all held out. Also Neuvirth has been extended an additional two years.
