I'll take that 8-2 win.
Jeez, another highlight save by Reimer. Too bad Phaneuff screwed his shut out bid tonight.
Ugh, now a game between Colorado and Edmonton?...
If Byfuglien wasn't being a shithead, it woulda only been 7-2.
Sabres score, Byfuglien hits Tyler Myers after the goal. Byfuglien gets a roughing penalty, Sabres run it up on the power play.
Take note Phoenix Coyote fans. Edmonton well out of the play off race yet they still put more butts in seats.
So apparently punches to the back of the head are not a penalty. Don't even want to talk about the disallowed goal.
Another WOW goal by Eberle.
Why do teams insist on leaving him alone lol?
Yeah yeah, homer here but The ducks defensemen SHOVES Poni into the ducks goalie and not only do they DISALLOW the goal that was scored, but they give the ducks the Power Play. That was a HORRIBLE call. Poni wasnt even driving to the net lol.
Sharks are just dismantling saint louis right now.
This really bothers me. Not that you said anything about it, but in general.
How can anyone be penalized based on intent? No one can know the intentions of someone else. Can someone who isn't a bandwagon fan like myself explain this please, because I see "intent to injure" being thrown around a lot for guys like Cooke (by the way, he assassinated JFK).
Intent to injure is generally brought up for plays that aren't "normal hockey plays" i.e. the puck is gone, killing someone into the boards will not help your team or affect the play in any way. It will also be brought up with things like malicious slashes, obvious elbows, things like that. To contrast, things like knee-on-knee hits, most high sticks, etc won't be intent to injure because in the first case you are just as likely to injure yourself as the recipient and in the second because most high sticks are not intentional.
It's far from a tried-and-true science, and it usually gets brought up with head shots or big hits that result in injury. A good example is Cooke's hit on Savard, which many will call intent to injure because it's not a place you would normally throw a check like Cooke did. However Chara's recent murder of hit on Patches can be debated a bit more because interfering with a forward to not allow them into your zone to retrieve the puck happens a decent amount in a normal game.
In short it's just a way to call someone a shitbag or defend your favorite player after a questionable hit.
Habs fans are going to sarcastically throw that line around after Mike Murphy couldn't grasp Chara's intent when he tried to decapitate Pacioretty despite their clear-as-day history and cited "cant prove intent".
While yes, no one can read anyones mind, you can get some feeling of intent based on past history..which is why some of these players going to the media crying about Subban are fucking retards.

What happens now if Mike Richards takes a run at PK Subban and he elbows him in the head?"Hopefully someone on their team addresses it, because, uh, I'm not saying I'm going to do it but something might happen to him of he continues to be that cocky."
Intent to make him show some respect. Obviously.
Also apparently Rick DiPietro's dog was killed in the past few days. How does one person have so much bad luck.
I know it's old news, but couldn't help but post here as I just made tonight.
