3-0 Leafs over Minnesota, Reimer with a deserved SO. Min's 27-4 if they get the first goal, so it's just as well Lupul got it, then reimer stopped every breakaway, then Grabbo scored... and then Gunnarson scored. Hey, you can't let a team like that get momentum! For the west division fans, this is likely the end for MIN, who have lost their way through march.

For TOR fans, too bad BUF and CAR won too. It's looking more and more like this run is out of our hands. So long as Reimer's reimer, and we keep winning, I gotta beleaf we have a chance.

By the way, anyone remember Jim Carey, Net Defective?

Just read on Japers' that the win tonight clinched a playoff spot for the Caps. A formality, I know, but looking back on the nine-game losing streak (as painfully covered by HBO 24/7), the injury bug, and the carousel of young goalies, it's definitely a testament to how good this team is. And people were calling for GMGM and Gabby to be fired.

I think he's taking a break. If the playoffs had started tonight there's no way he's a scratch. But since we're pretty much set for the #2 seed it really doesn't bother me if a few guys take some maintenance days here and there.

If he is having some kind of nagging injury(which hell, im sure all NHL players have), I think it says something that he cares more about being healthy and making a deep playoff run rather than just trying to pad his regular season stats.

Gooo Preds! Disconcerting thing is that we're at 74 GP but only 2 points ahead of CHI and 3 of Anaheim and Dallas at 72 GP. That said, six of our last eight are at home and four of eight are easily winnable (Colorado, Columbus, St. Louis, Atlanta). I sincerely hope the Blackhawks do not make the playoffs; last year's playoff series combined with the most biased play-by-play commentators in the league leaves me fuming.

I'm sure if he were closer to league lead for goals/points, he'd still be gunning for it. 16 points behind Sedin and 14 goals behind Stamkos, he's got no chance.
