Fuck. Some epic injuries today and it's at the worst possible time. People complaining about the point system for the NHL, but i gotta say with it being this close for so many spots it's great for fans.

If Jimmy is out for long term, gonna be interesting as Osgood might have to save the day. Mind you Osgood isn't horrible, he's won a few cups before. XD. Leafs, devils & maybe flames played well the last few weeks, just a horrible start. >.<

Really, really, really bad fucking game to get 0 points out of. Next several games are really tough, and most of them are against Eastern teams. Still really, really iffy whether or not the Hawks are going to even make the playoffs.

Stars don't deserve to make the playoffs with the way they're playing. They've lost their mojo and are being lazy defensively. Richards has been godawful since his concussion, coasting out there like he doesn't even care anymore.

Mike Green is still out. They say he should be ready for the playoffs but who knows at this point. Team is playing great defensively but still struggling a bit to score.

Ovechkin and Arnott say they should be good for the full practice on Monday. With Fehr playing normal shifts tonight, the forwards are getting healthy at least. Sturm-Backstrom-Semin looked good, maybe that's your second (or 1B) line while Ovechkin-Arnott-Knuble gets 1A status? The line shuffling will be almost as interesting as who's between the pipes.

As for Green, I keep wanting him back and thinking he will help the power play. But the PP stunk when he was healthy and the pairings have been really good in the last month or so. Personally I would just keep everyone with bumps and bruises out until April 5th at Toronto or the 6th against Florida, get them two or three games, and hope they're 100% for the first round.

idk if I would want to separate Backstrom/Ovechkin but it will be interesting to see how things go. Arnott and Laich had some good chemistry going too and even Johansson was playing pretty well with either Ovechkin or Semin. Green was playing well defensively all year imo and if healthy he should probably take Erskine's spot. I love Erskine's toughness but Green is definitely better but hey, maybe make Green a forward! (j/k maybe) Until tonight Sturm hadn't done anything with his chances, which he has had some great ones, other then his speed I'm not loving him.

Since I can't cheer for Toronto, and LA looks like they're out before it'll even begin, I have two things to cheer for: Corey Perry, and the Blackhawks either 1) not making the playoffs, or 2) losing first round.

Really conflicted. 6 points into our playoff spot with Dallas having one game in hand and 1 point out of 4 thwith 2 games in hand on the coyotes but I just dont see this ending well even if we get into the playoffs. Kopitar means so much to the Kings as hes not just our best scorer, but also our best PK, PP man, and our best defensive forward. Hes been able to shut down the big centers from the other teams pretty well this season. With out him, Stoll is now our top center and with Lokoitonov getting hurt and Schenn not being able to be recalled, don't have much at center to call up. We can still win, but we were lacking scoring to begin with. Guys like Brown, Smyth, Penner, Simmonds really need to step up.

Either Sturm, Chimera or Fehr is probably getting scratched when all the forwards are in. Two spots for three wingers. I think BB likes Chimera but for all his speed and leadership, the guy is just a zero in the offensive zone. And yeah Erskine will probably be the guy to scratch when Green is back, which will make me very sad. I'd almost rather dress seven D and scratch Chimera and another winger.
