In other news, congrats to whoever is the owner of STARTING TO SMASH. Good semi-final, I'm not even bitter about going down in a ball of flaming 8-1 glory. My team had solid stats for the week, your team just went into insane God mode. I think every category was pretty darn close too!

It would have been a lot closer if Fleury didn't turn into a brick wall this last week, and had I not gotten that short-handed point. Grabner has been good for about one a week since picking him up, it's a shame the dude is playing on the Islanders.

Grabner has been pretty beastly for a while now. I loathe him simply because he plays for the Islanders. Tallon really screwed the pooch on that one for the Panthers.

Edit -- it also didn't help me that after the Rangers had been on a huge scoring surge, they'd been playing a lot of tight games lately.

But only scoring 1 goal a game for 3 games in a row, and going 2-0-1 in that stretch, is pretty fucking awesome!

Oh man, i've been busy and haven't been in here to back up my Pens boys. What a crazy week with all the SO wins, but i'll take it. We've been playing playoff hockey for the past 2 months and that's really what it's all about. What other team would be in this position if they lost their 3 top forwards for most of the year, including the best player in the world? Bylsma for coach of the year.

Also, fuck yeah Crosby might be back this week. I'm excited obviously but scared at the same time. Poor water bottles. Neal's numbers should go up, i mean they can't possibly go down

Just saw the Hamhuis hit, really tough break for him, that may be a career-ender. #4 since hitting the NHL, rough stuff.

The Canucks have never at any time during the season iced their top 6 D. We're still looking good compared to some teams (hi2u LA) but jesus losing Hamhuis would fucking suck. He's been really really solid. Thankfully Ballard has been playing some of his best hockey so far and Bieksa has been really turning it on. I think the Canucks should just play their farm team the last few games. I'm going to the Vancouver/Edmonton game and I honestly wouldn't mind lol

Leave the moose alone they're battling for the division title which they could of had locked up if they didn't play with 5 defensemen for so many games.

There's a saying about concussions which this Hamhuis situation reminds me of: Concuss me once, shame on you. Concuss me twice, emahs no me. Hopefully Edler can start pounding back the Vicodin to patch this one up quickly.

Just means we can resign Bieksa and Erhoff. If Hamhuis isn't forced to retire then one of them will be walking away. Third line centre position I have no idea what Gillis does there.

Hamhuis is fine, he was at the rink today already and said he was feeling good. It's his fourth career concussion but two of them happened very early in his career and the this one and the one earlier this year have been really minor. Hopefully Manny's surgery goes well and he's back for next year. As for Bieksa and Ehrhoff next year, depending on what Bieksa wants they may be able to fit them both if the cap goes up by 1.5 mil or more which isn't unreasonable.
