Trying to figure out how the NHL figures Avalanche/Wings is a 'rivalry'

They're still harping on the fierce rivalry they had ~10 years ago when Lemieux was boarding Red Winds, and there was the Roy/Osgood showdown at center ice. Now it just seems like Denver has forgotten about the Avs.

Is Yahoo like terribly slow for you guys too in updating anything in regards to our fantasy league? I picked up Modano and Khabibulin yesterday but had to wait for waivers to clear, so I got them today and while they show up on my roster, they don't show up as being in the lineup for my skaters tonight. Do I have to wait for them to actually play a game on my team to get their previous stats or are they added in automatically?

It's slow to update for me too, but if I go into the live stat tracker thing, everything is relatively up-to-date.

Just looked myself at the stat tracker, and Modano and Khabibulin are both in your roster for tonight, so looking at your stuff that way is the way to go.

And yes, the "Matchup" page shows things as of the morning before any games. If you want an update, open the Live Stat Tracker to get an updated scoring during the evening's games. Be thankful... 2-3 years ago they used to charge 9.99 for it along with a package of several other features.

I also feel the need to point out that I have never seen the collective internet so mayad about a hockey-related story as Hjalmarsson's hit lol, I swear more people are bitching about it on PD/TSN/etc comments than did about the Cooke hit.

Looked like a very clean hit to me, baffles me that he'd be suspended. Wasn't charging, didn't leave his feet, wasn't boarding, so what's the deal? Just because he was taken off on a stretcher?

Center Ice is kind of sucking the last two days, games on that aren't on NHLN that they aren't carrying for some reason, last night's Vancouver game and tonight's LA game are not on TV at all here even with the Center Ice trial.
