So when does week 2 begin in our fantasy league, anyway?

Monday. Normal weeks are Monday-Sunday, the first week is longer because the NHL started on a Thursday and they would rather have 1 longer week than a shorter week because it makes things a bit more fair.

Most definitely the first thing I noticed in the very first Pens game this season was that Martin looked awful, I'm not sure what the hell he did over the offseason but I don't recall him being so bad in NJ. The PP is awful, and apparently the FoxPitt TV guys aren't aware of that fact along with the fact that when a team overgoes a major personnel makeover their special teams stats from last year aren't particularly relevant anymore.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is noticing that Martin isn't exactly doing well. He's putting up assists but he's also looked God awful in the defensive zone. I'm really not sure what the problem is with the Penguins right now. I can understand that after adding some new players, they need to jell. But that's what training camp and preseason is for. Michalek is the only free agent acquisition that has looked good and now he's injured. The only bright spots besides Michalek is the great play by Letestu and Tangradi. They are making a strong case for staying up here when Staal and Asham are healthy.
