I almost never come to the general forum and noticed the thread on the front page, shut up. ¬_¬
Whoever said the other day that they didn't like Reaugh is nuts, this is the first time I've gotten to listen to a Stars home broadcast, I think he's really one of the better color guys I've heard.
Also what the mother FUCK @ Datsyuk being -3 tonight
Wooo 3-0!! Three game win streak!! God damn its been too long.
Offense looked great tonight, our top 2 lines are really gelling. That third period really scared me though, we sat back on our defense and let them pepper us again. That's going to cost us if Crawford doens't fix it. Also we still can't clear the zone for the life of us. So many times we won a faceoff, and only did a soft pass around the boards and had it caught. Gotta get those pucks out.
@Ihsido and Ivaden, sorry Osgood sucks these days. Game would have been so much closer had Howard started. I'm not afraid to say that we won this game cuz we were playing the backup goalie. But Lehtonen did look great.
@Callisto - Glad you liked R&R, they really are the best in the league. I'm always amazed when people tune in and immediately are impressed, it just shows how lucky we are.
My +/- is all awful, getting murdered in that column. Really if Vokoun could get scored on 2 times tonight I'd be in decent shape, but he's facing Calgary so guessing not.
Good god the Flames are bad lol...twice in a row they just blatantly skate offsides for no reason
I was the best in the league in +/- until Datsyuk took a datshit all over it
Jeff Carter too
Well shit, I think they just dusted any chance of me winning this week's matchup my handing Vokoun a shutout and beefing the hell out of his SV%
I'm hoping he will. The overall team mentality is to be a lot more offensive compared to last year (duh), and looking back at our win against Los Angeles, we played really well. And one thing I really really like are the team doing small things like Jokinen wanting to always get at least 5 shots per game and the team not turtling up with a lead like last season. Potentially I think we can do really well this year. But after shit games like tonight, my optimism tends to falter a little. But at the same time, we still have 6 big injuries on our team, with the 2 I'm most bothered by being Bourque's and Kotaliks. Bourque was fantastic last year, and Kotalik was playing pretty well in preseason (I know, preseason doesn't count blah blah).
At the same time, it's only game 3 out of 82. No need to jump to conclusions yet. We'll see where we stand come the All-Star break.
Also, I'd just like to comment on how much nicer the hockey discussion is on here. Seeing some of the fan postings on tsn.ca or sportsnet.ca are god awful. TSN has more level headed people I'll admit, but god, sportsnet posters are just so fucking terrible
How can you even stand to go to sportsnet at all? Their website is shit, their coverage is meh. If they didn't cover so many of the Vancouver games on tv I'd never watch their channel either.
Speaking of Bourque, I just dropped him from my fantasy team since I can't place him on IR. I needed a player from a team that can score, so I picked a toronto player. Wait... wut.
Eh, sometimes they have some enjoyable reports. But yeah, for the most part I go with TSN for highlights and coverage.
Franzen got a concussion and is expected to miss some games, but nothing long term.
Fucks sake he is made of glass.
Man I had no clue who I was up against this week, thanks Callisto!
Though I'd say A, PPP, SHP (obviously), and all the goalie stats are still up for grabs.
More importantly... T-minus 4 hours until I'm out for the Rangers' home opener!!!!
They better look better than they did on Monday. I went out to Long Island, did my first road game, with a bunch of friends...shame the team never showed up!
Somebody gonna get a hurt REAL BAD
