Random tidbit while watching the Nucks game, in one of my ESPN leagues where Goals and GWGs are worth a ton of points compared to assists, someone got on my ass really hard about how stupid I was for choosing D.Sedin over Henrik at 6th. Pretty happy with the choice so far though.

Ugh brutal night for the canucks. Hopefully they come out hungry tomorrow against Chicago. But with Ballard and Hamhuis out injured I don't think the result is going to be much different unless Luongo decides to show up and play like a #1 goaltender. Rypien was a fucking idiot, which is sad because I really like the guy as a scrapper but that was just stupid.

Edit: After tonight Callisto owes me one for throwing him a life saver this early in the season. It will probably be awhile before Luongo gets his act together. 9.07 GAA and a .670 sv%. Good god lol.

Gong show. I'm going to the Friday game rematch and it should be great. I almost wanna say this game was a loss from the start. Weird ass line combos from AV (Peter Shaefer on the second line?) & 2 top 6 d-men out. Luongo played like shit and it'll get overshadowed by Rypian's douche move. Makes the team look so bad.

I'm listening to the sports station and some idiot calls in and says he "understands" why Rypian did what he did. To get the team going. REally? Lol. Fuckin idiot. Only highlight today for me is the Yankee's lost.

Now that the trade has gone through this actually sets up an epic decision for me. Do I start Luongo and risk my goalie stats in a bout of homerism while Selamis plays Turco against me? With the Canucks missing two of their better dmen I might have to sit Luongo, I get the feeling Hossa and Sharp are going to feast on him tomorrow.

Hell I won't be surprised to see him get 10-15 games. He'll be suspended from playing tomorrow for sure before they hand down any further discipline but honestly at this point I think his career as a Canuck may be over. That's a huge PR black eye.

If it's 10-15, NHL really has some issues then. Because head shots and boarding from behind are carrying 3 games. Shane Doan got 3, and probaly should have gotten 10. NHL needs to talk to the NFL.

Lets see, San Jose playing like ass, Vancouver playing like ass, Chicago playing decently.. Is there a chance the Kings could be a top 3 team in the west?!

If it's 10-15, NHL really has some issues then. Because head shots and boarding from behind are carrying 3 games. Shane Doan got 3, and probaly should have gotten 10. NHL needs to talk to the NFL.

Attacking fans should be an automatic 1 year suspension.... playing professional hockey comes with an assumed risk, attending a professional hockey game comes with the assumed risk of pucks entering the seating area, but not with the assumed risk of being assaulted by a player. Its more than a PR issue, its a legal issue even. If youre Canadian and don't know, see on youtube the NBA video of the Indiana Pacers (as a team, several players did it) running into the stands and punching the living daylights out of people.

I was watching that Canucks game last night and was just simply amazed at all things from the game. Sedin on the board like 58 seconds into the game, I was like, here we go, fantasy points gonna rack up tonight then it went all downhill. I was watching the Wild telecast on Center Ice and they had Kerry Fraser in the booth to promote his new book while the melee went down. I could see the one Canuck like shoving the one linesmen as they tried to get control, then all of a sudden I see this fan clapping and the player goes after him. How dumb do you gotta be? I'll say he gets 5 games at least. Also, the fan shouldn't have been ejected, he didn't do anything wrong.

Also by watching all of these games on Center Ice, as bad as the Hawks have been playing so far this season, no one is really running away with the West yet. Would be nice for the Hawks to get on a roll here and start to distance themselves.

Yeah, all of the expected top-end West teams have all started really slowly, especially Vancouver/San Jose/L.A., and all of the teams that were predicted to be middling came sprinting out the gate like Dallas/Nashville/Colorado. Going to be a few months before anyone starts pulling away I'd guess.

1 year is a bit harsh considering the NHL has yet to crack down on platent hits to injure. Anytime a sports player goes after a fan, it crosses the line. Something should be done and will be done. We'll see if the NHL does it properly or fail yet again when it comes to setting an example.

The 2 fans shouldn't have gotten removed as they didn't do anything. Was funny as the fan doing the clap realized his sarcasm wasn't liked by Rypien and shat himself when he lunged at him. Lol. I think they ended up moving the 2 fans to better seats according to the game announcers.

As for the top tier teams in the West. I'm not worried, doubt many hockey fans are. Lots of bandwagon jumpers in these cities, so nothing new. XD
