The Canucks are playing their 9th dman. Both Hamhuis and Ballard are injured. I think the Hawks are going to run the Canucks but if Turco is terrible it could be a high scoring affair at least. I'm probably going to bench Luongo and hope to god Turco has a shitty night so your goalie stats don't get too good.

Eh, don't be too concerned with that. Turco so far hasn't put up the numbers that I expected him to, with the exception of the other night. I don't know if he's to blame for that, or the defense and team not playing to their potential yet, or both.

It's too bad Milbury can't be suspended from TV for his passed transgressions.

How is 3-1 really slow?

I meant they haven't been juggernaut as predicted. They're playing fine but they're averaging a goal and a half a game less than Dallas and they haven't exactly faced stiff competition yet since Vancouver looks like they never actually practiced as a team before the season started. The next two weeks they should have some pretty good teams to deal with.

Right now I'm beating Selamis and if Turco lets in more than two goals I will maintain that lead. Plus Howard has games against Calgary and Anaheim this week which means I stand a decent shot at winning the goalie stats without even playing Luongo this week.

Don't we have to play our goalies at least 2 games a week to prevent like a shutout and then benching the rest of the week? Or did we decide against that?

The settings say "Min games played: 2" but I'm not really sure how it works.

It means that collectively your goalies need to play 2 games minimum a week. You could have each goalie play one game or one goalie play two games, either will work.

The same reason why "no one got hurt" is an excuse for a blind eye. The 1st and last word of your second sentence sums it up.

What makes you think what Rypein did warrants 50 games?

Because he attacked someone (possibly a child) who was defenseless. To show that this won't be tolerated, I feel 50 games would be the suspension heard around the world. Not to mention would help silence some of the critics who think fighting should be taken out of the NHL. This is also a PR issue and you can't ignore that.

If Chris Simon can take a stick to someones faces and curb stomp the back of someones leg and only get 25 and 30 games respectively, no way Rypein gets anywhere NEAR 50.

Must have goalies play in at least 2 games during the week. Playing a goalie that does not actually enter the game and get time on the ice does not count...

And Milbury was suspended 6 games for the shoe incident. Another player that started it got 8 and some other Bruin also got 6. Was on TV this morning in a recollection of past NHL-fan incidents.
