What kind of company doesn't let you cancel when you want too, but you have to write a letter of request... What the fuck.

I'm trying to use UltimatePay and I'm getting cockblocked. Just trying to do a simple paypal balance transfer and it's rejecting it for some reason. What do? The money is there for the taking but it won't take it.

In the mean time I called my CC company, told them to accept the Clickandbuy charges, and I'm waiting on that to get my account unblocked. I'd rather just do a transfer of cash thru Paypal if I could get UltimatePay to work.

The person I talked to on the phone at Clickandbuy was actually British and was kind and helpful. I know nothing about the company but it basically seems like Paypal with a crummy website.

Isn't it amazing feeling when you stumble on a piece of shit like Playonline, but yet still you are able to find even worse service years after, such as ClickAndBuy.

Payment went through for PayPal using Ultimate Pay. So not sure what your issue is. What browser are you using?

Had to do 2 transactions to pay for a month's worth... I hate this on XBL and I hate it now. -_-;;

I think the best thing you could of done was just leave the account open but cancel all current payments to SE if you set it up, that way you wont have to pay anything and the account can just sit there and rot etc

I actually didn't do anything with the account, so i doubt i don't have to pay anything. Can't be too careful though, afterall, SE chose ClickAndBuy. I just got sick of the verification phase, cause you have to wait like 2-3 business days until the verification shows up on your bank statement. That's just to verify the account.

Not interested in Crysta. Not interested in using a third-party payment service that I'd never heard of before this morning. Hell at the very least they could've picked a company people HAVE HEARD OF like Paypal.

Also, I already pay monthly fees to directly SE for FFXI and have for 6+ years. Just add the XIV charges. There's no need to do a separate transaction at all.

Is this really as bad as people are making it out to be? Clicktobuy that is. The charge after 12 months of inactivity without you canceling the account in writing is annoying, sure, but lots of credit card companies charge non-activity fees. So it's not that outlandish. Neither is a test charge of two dollars or so at the start. And 12 months is a pretty long time to remember to cancel (since, as long as you're still playing ff14, you're still paying, right? Just have to remember to cancel when you quit). They should explain the charges better than it sounds like they do though. I'm not a fan of this, but it seems like some of you are making it out to be more of a scam than it probably is.

I'm disappointed if its true we can't just directly pay via credit cards though.

At least they made PayPal a possibility for Crysta... which is about all I pay with on the internet anyway.

The lack of 1500 Crystal option is annoying though... either you do 2 transactions or get 3000 directly for 2 months.
