Monitor won't sleep when FFXIV is in focus

Is there some way to fix this? If I put any other window in front of FFXIV, the monitor will sleep after 10 mins like normal. If FFXIV is in focus, the monitor will never sleep.

probably a setting in Windows power management. Why do you need the monitor to hibernate while playing a game?

    afk

I sure as hell do it a lot. I find it annoying to push the awkwardly placed power buttons on both my monitors every time I get up and walk out the door with my character still sitting at a camp.

the monitor goes to sleep when its idle. Usually dual core/single core apps that don't use much resources will cause computer to go idle as long as theres no input from keyboard/mouse. However FFXIV is power hungry and uses all CPU cores so it won't allow the computer to go idle.

Not hibernate/sleep, just have the monitor turn off.

there is nothing software wise that will turn the monitor off just makes it go into standby mode after a period of no use. However FFXIV is always up and down on CPU usage so the computer thinks your using it, no real way around that.

However if FFXIV is not in focus it might work as windows will lower the priority on the process. so just minimize it?
