I traded in 4 a couple months back since I've done everything I wanted in it. Guess I could rebuy it on the ps3 instead and go through everything like it's '08 again.

If I had a gamepad I would dl 4 in a heartbeat

Definitely need to try out the PC version. Turbo mode and LDK are rad. I just use my PS3 controller to play it on PC.

Apparantly, Capcom went to NT and told them to reinvent the series completely. Like, make them angry completely. They had versions of Dante wearing slacks and bracers and shit, and it wasn't enough.

The fact that the designers and team at Capcom trust them after seeing over a year of progress from them gives me some hope though, but I really don't see it comparing to 3 or 4 at all.

It won't compare to any of them, except maybe 2. Thankfully the NT team has a lot of DMC fans (except for the people who actually matter, who I don't think care either way), but I doubt that will matter when they're so set on changing everything. My problem lies more with Capcom at this point, who don't seem to think they have a good franchise and really want to westernize everything, despite DMC4 being one of their highest sellers.

There's a lot of issues at the top, which is where it matters most. Even if all the artists and designers are hardcore DMC fans, it won't mean shit.

Apparently Capcom want "5 million sales" like "other action games" manage. Can anyone enlighten me as to what these action games are? I don't know of any that have sold 5 million.

They want it to be GoW!! Or something, I dunno. I like how GoW took major influences from DMC, which is why it's pretty much the best western action game, while other action games are taking influences from GoW, which is already pretty diluted to make their shitty copies.

I blame Inafune.

Oh yeah, couple of other things I remembered. Capcom seemed happy with the state of the mechanics so far, including a mechanic refered to as the traverse system.
