The "Target is already engaged" bug on your mobs is a serious problem. You hit the mob once, it fights you, but trying to attack again gives "Target is already engaged". Well it is... by you. I guess this is a result of newb zone lag - I've had to wait 2-3 minutes just for my own levequest mobs to appear.
Healing in passive mode seems... more haphazard than OB. Sometimes you don't heal for a long time, especially in a crowded area. Also, I think they changed when the Full-rest healing kicks in.
I wish they had levequest "trees" so you could work towards a special leve NM fight or an HNM, thus spreading the NMs among the populace. NO TIME SPAWN WORLD NMS PLEASE we don't need that again.
I think it may be the same "This action cannot be performed" bug from the beta times, just they changed the message :<
Had a lot of problems last night when my group was at camp drybone trying to invite people into party. I would invite someone but they would never get the action icon to join. Other times it would show up and they would join but I couldn't see them in party. At one point the party leader changed all by itself. Also couldn't invite someone to LS because it wouldn't show up like the party invite. When I relogged to try to send the invite again it kept saying the person already had an invite from another LS. When we finally got everyone in the party and started doing levequests, we had issues where levequest mobs were staying white despite being claimed by the group and sometimes getting no exp. Also had problems attacking our levequest mobs due to 'already claimed' error.
Hope the maint. fixes very basic problems like these.....
I'm having error code 20524 when starting up FF14 updater now, thing stops @ 99.99% ><.
For some reason ever since this update I'm now getting a blackscreen right after the SE logo flashes on. Was working fine before the update. Anyone else experiencing this?
Same Issue... just keeps randomly giving me the error.
I get error 20524 too, while it's installing the latest update >_<
now noticing that "Your shield arm falls" does not come up every time like it used to before today's maintenance. or am i mistaken about it coming up every time pre-maint?
Fixed my 20524 problem by going to http://www.ffxivcore.com/topic/12719...-instructions/ I just download everything in the first spoiler and put it in my ff14 folder.
I'm starting to think I won't be able to play FFXIV reliably until it comes out on ps3. Thank god for consoles. The shit you gotta put up with on PC is fucking ridiculous.
I'm not a dumb man, I do network security engineering as a contractor for the Army, and that shit is easier than trying to get FFXIV working. How fucking sad is that?
Is anyone else using a gtx 470 to play this game?
Reason I ask is I'm seeing some really higher than normal temps. I'm consistently at or above 90ish degrees C at full load, which seems a little too hot for my liking. Room temps aren't even as hot as it can get around here, so I'm worried on a hotter day I may fry the thing.
From what I can gather on the net, the card is rated up to 105 C, so it seems awfully close to max right now. I've been running the game at max settings, using the latest beta drivers. The non-beta driver was doing the same thing, so I kinda ruled that out. I tried playing with all the settings in the Nvidia control panel, but nothing seemed to make a huge difference.
Other games play fine at expected temps. I don't even think Kombuster got this high when I tested with it months ago. Am I worrying over nothing?
I'm using a AMD Phenom II dual core, and I've unlocked cores 2 and 3 to basically make it a quad core. My vid card is a Radeon 5770, and i saw temps last night of around 71 degrees celsius. Not sure if you can play with your settings like me, but you can manually adjust your fan output to try and compensate.
I'm pushing my 'quad core' to 3.8ghz, even tho it's rated for 3.2 and it's pretty stable. The game did crash a few times last night, so not sure if that's because of unstable cores, heat, or just the game itself.
I'd suggest paying the 35 bucks for an aftermarket fan for the CPU and see if that doesn't help. It's a cheap fix if it does.
The game puts (unnecessary?) extreme strain on graphic cards... my GTX260 which runs at 60-70° in most games averages 90-95°C while playing Final Fantasy XIV with fan at 90% speed.
I'm not really worried, just probably something that is terribly optimized on Nvidia or SE side (or both.), replacing it by a 470 this week-end.
It's weird, I suspect I'm highly cpu bottlenecked because my 5870 never goes above 70c, usually is always around 55. My dual core e6750 at 3.4 though is constantly at 95-99% in game.
I use MSI Afterburner and have already setup a good fan profile for the card. I've got an H50 and my CPU temps are perfectly normal, it's just the video card that seems to boil.
Hoping this is just some random fluke with the game.
I want to rip the casings off of both my HD5770s because of this game...
GTX470 here, temps are usually as high as yours when playing XIV. It's always low when playing other games too, so it must be XIV.
Well that's a bit of a relief. I hope they attempt to fix this if possible.
anyone wanna tell me why i can't select lindblum as a server?
edit: nvm i found out it sometimes disappears because its full? whats up with that
