I'm (stupidly) logged out at the Atheryte camp closest to Ul'dah (the name is escaping me at the moment) and can't get back in due to constant 30002 errors. I've been trying since 4am and have had maybe 25 minutes of solid playtime since my game finally arrived. :/

The game uses a lot of GPU so high temps are normal. You should try downloading Msi afterburner (works on any manufacturer's card) and make a custom fan profile.

I had some overheating problem too, for the time being i just used a 80mm case fan and put it on top of the graphic card to push the hot air coming from the card, while usin an zalman vga cooler,,, helped me a lot, and saved me some cash

oh and i figured out the nickname for sending /tell's easier. others might have figured it out but here is what to do. you must send at least 1 /tell to the person you want to whisper too, then send them another /t but this time after u type their name hit tab, this will show their name, pick it and from now on u can /t <first name> hit tab then enter to fill it out.

My linkshell member got a bug while update/maintenace server. His retainer was opening the shop with bazaar items and all items is gone after server up.

Please be aware while using the ward shop before maintenance......

ps. no any gil in retainer pocket and items that was bazaar all gone.

How do we transfer our XI characters? And can we server transfer? I want to eventually be on Figaro since a few of my friends are there but its shut down to new characters for the time being.

I think it may be the same "This action cannot be performed" bug from the beta times, just they changed the message :<

No, it's actually horrible lag. Sometimes I shoot a mob, get said message and if you just wait for a while (10-30 seconds), you can attack the mob.

I ran around for about an hour last night and did leves etc. Got my Conj. to 4 and my PL to 7. I wanted to grind on some mobs to level up more but there were hardly any around. Is this the norm? Are they not wanting us to grind? I saw a couple people running around on combat classes @ level 10+ is why I ask.

Does the volume control not work for anyone else? I'm able to turn the music down but not the sound effects/other option.

It's weird, I suspect I'm highly cpu bottlenecked because my 5870 never goes above 70c, usually is always around 55. My dual core e6750 at 3.4 though is constantly at 95-99% in game.

most likely in one way or another, my i7 930 quad core cpu isn't used much but my video card sits at 95-100% usage (5870) I have "everything" on and to the max also (ao depth of field etc) getting 40-50fps and the temp on the cards about 65-70C for the many many hours its running at that near 100%

I'm running a 5770, haven't been monitoring the temps but I haven't noticed any problems, and I have everything turned on as well. Other than the game continually crashing, (which I heard from a friend that was a problem with the game that the update should fix) I haven't really had any hardware problems.

pretty sure you can still register them the same way you entered the general code as long as it's before making a character

The graphic is sort of misleading. It looks like a crosshair but it has nothing to do with accuracy or whatever. Rather, it's basically a hot or cold game.

i couldnt figure out if the getting closer/further means that the ore is inward or outward, are you sure further means that the inward direction and closer outward?

It's a hot and cold game. When it says you're closer/further, it's taking into account your last two strikes. If you were closer to the target on the first strike, then it says your last strike was further. If you were closer to the target on the second strike, then it says your last strike was closer.

Confusing at first, but really not very complicated once you realize it's just your standard hot and cold game.

Closer/further doesn't necessarily mean either inward or outward, it means closer/further with respect to the strike before the one you just made. In the example I gave, guess 3 is "further" because (incoming made-up numbers) the radius of guess 2 might be 6 units too big, but guess 3's is 20 units too small.
