I'm glad they are going back to what seem right now a simpler story line, the angel story never reached a satisfying conclusion in my opinion and I dont know if they even know what to do with it.

She only had 1 line, how can you judge her acting ability from that? >.O
Where did you get that?

After watching a few reruns I have a little question I don't remember the answer to, did the angels ever tell Sam specifically not to kill Lillith? Or was it ever stated why it wasn't brought to Sam and Dean's attention that that would be the final seal?
Two possible answers:
1) They still wanted Lilith and the apocalypse to happen, at least some of them. And who knows which side the person "in charge" was on at the time.
2) Final seal involved the person who breaks it not knowing they break it. So they'd be going against what God planned by telling them. I think I recall this being said at some point.
I think Cas knew all along. I think he bonded with the boys though, and was going to tell them. Near the end of season 4, there was the episode where Cas calls them for something important, but instead they find Cas's vessel Jimmy Novak. By the end of the episode when Cas returns to Novak's body, and they ask what he wanted, he says that he learned his lesson or something like that, and walks away.
Then in the next episode, he lets Sam out of Bobby's little bunker room, so he could go meet up with Ruby and subsequently kill Lilith. He also helps Zachariah keep Dean hostage in the waiting room, until Dean finally convinces him otherwise.
Good episode. Nice way to introduce a new big bad at least.
Answers all of the 'what now?' questions.
Dean and Bobby had some great moments in this one. The whole sword bit was awesome.
Excellent episode tonight,

So I had a discussion with a friend last night about why Dean can handle his memories of Hell, but it's implied that Sam can't, and I wanted to get your guys opinions as well. I personally said to my friend that perhaps being tortured every day by just demons isn't as scaring on one's soul than being tortured/abused by Lucifer and Michael, the two strongest angels. Dean had said that he was torn apart piece by piece each day while he was in the pit, plus he also tortured people to get off the carving board. Cas said that Sam's soul felt like it was skinned alive when he touched it, after Death replaced it. What do you guys think?

I can't see how they'd do anything to the Impala considering how important it was for the Season 5 finale.
The only explanation I can see is what you mentioned above which is Lucifer and Michael being the strongest angels + they dint really have anything else to do but torture Sam. Dean was a VIP in hell too so I imagine he had it very tough also but I guess Dean always been portrayed to be stronger than Sam. Also, maybe the writers just dint think that one through well enough.
well, Dean wasn't in hell for as long as Sam was either, no? Dean's sould was in there for about half a year if I remember right, while Sam's was in there for a year. Dead wasn't tortured the entire time either - he caved in and tortured in order to avoid being tortured. Dean wasn't tortured by Lucifer and Michael, either, he were tortured by much weaker demons.
Sam was in Hell for half a year, right? (Dean was with whatsherface for a year and a half, and Sam had been alive for one year when they met up again.)
Regardless of time spent, I think the point is that Dean was being tortured by a mere demon, whereas Sam was tortured constantly by the two archangels. Don't forget that Dean wasn't tortured the entire duration of his stay in Hell, either; at some point he agreed to be the torturer.
and time is different in hell they've said. like a day on earth is a year in hell or some shit.
