whatever happened to the whole Heavenly weapons stuff? At the beginning of the season there was a whole vault of them missing, but the only 1 that's turned up was a fraction of the staff of moses. No other mention.

At first it's just "Well God doesn't want to be found so he turned it off, lol." but from interviews and speculation a bit more into that page it seems like it was meant for something totally different...maybe it'll come into play to find Castiel in S7? Then it'll at least be used.

Supernatural rarely has plot holes. The weapons will probably be tracked down and used to take out Castiel.

Well, the thing about the weapons...
Balth steals the weapons. Balth trades part of the Moses staff for a soul.
Cas is looking for the weapons.
We find out Balth is working for/with Cas. And we can only assume Balth was making deals to gain more souls for Cas's plan.

Now We can only assume that:
Cas did think Balth was dead, and didn't know he had taken the weapons, and then later they decided to work together. But then why was Balth taking souls before teaming up with Cas, and did he give the weapons to Cas? The Balth taking souls thing doesn't fit, but that would explain why we saw nothing more of the weapons. (because Cas took them all from earth and was hording them/using them in heaven).
Perhaps Balth teamed up with Cas before he traded any weapons for souls, but then why did Cas/Balth bring it to their attention, and why did Cas still seem so desperate to find them?

the only ones the wiki mentions are: Angel Swords, Moses staff, Lot's salt, horn of truth, Ark of Covenant, "and blade that can kill fate".

Angel blades are what all the angels carry to kill angels. Balth used Lot's Salt to turn Rapheal's human body to salt, horn of truth was mentioned, but it was Veritas, not the horn. Ark was a lie Sam told to get Castiel, and the Fate Blade was held by Balth when he was about to kill Fate.
