FF14 Keeps crashing

Like it says in the title, FF14 keeps crashing on me as I play. I'm on an asus g51 and I have downloaded the latest drivers. It always seems to be something to do with directx, anybody got an idea whats wrong and how it can be fixed?

What are your exact system specs? What drivers are you using? What is the exact error message you get when ffxi crashes? You think it is related to directx, have you updated it lately? Any recent changes on your machine software/hardware wise?

The game crashes randomly for many.

Same thing happened to me once, seems to only happen if I minimize the game and start doing other stuff. I've only seen it once, but it stated DirectX wasn't detected or something and Final Fantasy had to be shut down. I tried loading it again but the same thing happened, rebooted and it fixed the problem.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 720 @ 1.60GHz
6 gigs ram
GeForce GTS 360M
Windows 7 64bit

My graphics driver is 258.96

After downloading new direct x it will open up, I move a bit and it crashes saying it cannot find directx.

Oh and it says some shit about kernal mode.

Mine is doing the same thing, ,Asus G73JH-B1 w/ Core i7-740QM, 8GB, 1TB, Blu-ray Combo, 17.3in Full HD, Radeon HD5870, Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit this is my comp, now since installed ff14 now my comp will crash as well sometimes.
