Patch updates for collector's edition

The torrent process was taking far too long so i followed the directions of another thread and downloaded patch 9/18 and patch 9/19. I pasted 9/18 into the patch folder of 2d2a390f and 9/19 into the patch folder 48eca647 as instructed. Both patch folders were initially empty. Upon opening the client it's still trying to download the torrent versions as tho it doesnt recognize the new patches. I am confused as to what im doing wrong at the moment. Is there a certain order in which i should be doing things or should i delete a certain folder or should i reinstall the game?? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Are you sure it is trying to DL them and not check them? When you start it with the patches in there the updater will check the file until it reaches the part that it stopped at/needs to DL, if you have 100% of the file it will just install after checking.

You could try deleting them, downloading it until the patches appear in their folders and the overwrite them as well.

yes, when i start the updater client it immediately starts with boot version 9/18/2010 etc and checking update > preparing to install download > downloding update files
