More annoying is that if you reactivated your XI account and didn't get BILLED yet, it doesn't count as active. I reupped 2 weeks ago but haven't been billed yet, and thus didn't get shoes.

I reactivated the second week in September, so obviously I haven't been billed yet, but I have my shiny shoes. Not sure why you wouldn't since you'll have had it active the same amount of time as me.

Fantasize about things working the way thats actually efficient and helpful. I dont know about you guys but i dont really want to keep track of all the different items i have for abilities, and carry around 5 warp cudgels again. Well i guess the cudgel issue is resolved, but god damn they need to get their head on straight regarding enhancements.

Did you reactivate a content ID as well? My account had been deactivated due to my bank declining the charges (not a money issue - SE triggered a fraud warning ><), so I had to go into POL and bring my account current with the payments. Once that was done, I had to go BACK into the system to reactivate one of my characters.

I did this yesterday morning, installed the game in the evening, and I am now sporting my bootsies. I would double-check to make sure you have an active ID, not just that your payment has been made.

The best part is when you log off it makes sure the timer keeps counting down. So yay for gold trimmed taru-puntin' boots.

Presumably, nobody knows what the limitations are on the goggles yet, right? I mean, precedent tells us they'll be worthless in a week, but just wondering.

Yeah holy crap was that ever a long ass run... especially since I covered most of La Noscea before realizing the boat I needed was actually the Ferry I started on, not from a neighboring town or outpost. Ugh and even from there, running though Thanalan into the Black Shroud... took just over an hour I'd say. The distance between each city isn't THAT much greater than it was in FFXI but large enough. I was rather pissed when I landed at the port that I couldn't even get the option to pay for a chocobo ride. The knight mentioned that it was from Ishgard though, so I'm wondering if XIV will have a license quest there just like XI did for Jeuno.

Have you tried taking them off and leaving them off for the 24hrs? It's possible that the timer is activating even while you're logged off... Although this is just speculation, as my Shoes worked fine after the 24hrs had passed.

Put on sandals at Gridania adventurer's guild and quickening wore at Ul'Dah Aetherite crystal. Only stops were to register camps along the way. Definitely not 30 mins, or duration is random. Rank 7 here if that matters.

I put mine on around the same place while running to Ul'dah. I did stop to attune to each camp's aetheryte as well. The Quickening wore off after probably 5~8 minutes of fucking around in Ul'dah looking for an NPC that sold clothes (shirt NPC only sells taru underwears now...). It sounds like mine lasted a bit longer.

1st time I wore mine, they lasted about 15minutes. 2nd time lasted way longer.
