Recipe button is a Godsend for cooks. May as well not use it for synths with 1-2 ingredients though.
The improvement was for putting ingredients into the crafting boxes, not for spamming recipes, though they made it sound like it was focused on the latter. I was hoping for just a "REPEAT LAST SYNTH" button that picks the same materials, same tool, and says OK.
SE wants you to say OK to your OK of your OK.
"Yo, I heard you like OKs so I..."
I wish they would replace the last confirm button with Main Hand / Off Hand / Cancel... I have yet to hear of a recipe that requires a certain tool to make so I don't understand why that decision is made before you get to see what your ingredients make. Yeah, I know HQ's are different, but that's not even listed.
Even if that's the case, it's still very unintuitive and cumbersome. If I'm specifically selecting an item from a list, the game should know I want to make "that" item, not the 3 other items those materials can make. There is absolutely no reason to have 2-3 extra menu layers to sift through in this case.
The old selling bug (item wouldn't sell and you had to keep on trying to sell it) seems gone. Yay.
The complaint is that there's a new selling bug which causes the item you're trying to sell to stay selected forever and you have to close off the entire selling window to be able to keep on selling things.
jesus christ why the hell does the action bar reset positions everytime it goes down or when you bring up macros?
it seriously needs to change. actually, selection memory on all the menus would be really nice.
When are we going to be able to kick/promote people from Linkshell without having to be in physical range of them?
Logged on for the first time in two months. Did a crafting leve and killed a few mobs on lancer. Game looks great. Too bad it's just so dull... Played some WAR while I wasn't playing this. The population on that game sucks(wish they would just merge servers) and it gets pretty boring post rank 80, but at least it was fun doing scenarios(in Tier 1) or solo roaming and ganking (on my rank 80). This game... its just grinding. I don't understand what the point is. Notorious monsters look cool I guess, but playing my 80 marauder(in WAR) and 1v1 or 1v2-3 and coming out on top was so much more rewarding than anything I've done in this game the whole time I've played, aside from maybe the rank 25 quest which started to get a little interesting(but still that's 25 ranks to grind and the quest is quick). Thinking back to XI, the only time I had fun in that game was at level cap doing instances or NMs that were challenging. Applying that to this it seems I'll not only need to grind to 50 but also wait for content to come out to actually have some fun. Add in all the stupid crap like not being able to run and check bazaar, no airships, no d box, crappy communication, etc. and the game, at least for me, just blows no matter how good it looks. I realize I've stated the obvious and maybe after playing pvp instead of pve for a few months I'm expecting something I'll never get from this game.
It just seems more rewarding to play something like fallout 3 where I'm constantly working at a story in this cool post apocalypse world with mutants and raiders running around but I can detour and do other quests to learn more about the world instead of just following the main story. XIV you're rewarded with a quest every 5-10? ranks you grind out. Leves are boring. Crafting is dull(standard, wait, standard, preserve, standard, standard, standard). I guess there's really just no content. Anyway, this post is going no where fast so I'll stay logged out for a while and maybe check back again in a few months.
If you're getting amused by Fallout I think you should just skip MMOs altogether. Comparing a pile of shit to a pile of shit there.
It was a great game, though the main story was too short. World was fun to explore, tons of places to find, though it did get a bit redundant after many hours. However, you could play the game many different ways; melee, unarmed, small weapons, etc, or good guy/bad guy/neutral. Lot of different possibilities. Random factor was kinda cool; after exiting the vault for the first time and heading to tenpenny tower I notice something behind me, turns out to be a deathclaw, as I run for my life I see some raiders in the distance so I run through them(as they shoot at me), this leads to the deathclaw having a field day killing them all and I escape. I can understand if you didn't like some elements of the game(lots of bugs) or maybe the plot, but it was certainly a well done game, not a pos. Much better than XIV currently though that's not saying much. Hell WAR is much better than XIV atm as you actually get some sort of excitement out of the game. Roaming with a few friends that are skilled and rolling 2-3x your numbers is fun. Even playing a rank 10 healer in a scenario and healing for 2-4x the amount of other people gives you that "yea, I just owned that shit" feeling. Basically a mindless beat down of one mob at a time over several hours at a time to grind xp to attain rank 50 so you can kill NMs just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I think I'm just done with pve based mmo's.
Edit: Summary: I want some fun without grinding for a month+(especially with lolfatigue). I haven't really seen it yet in this game with a 24 lancer/29leather, even though that's not high but it still took some time especially with fatigue kicking in. So yea, maybe I should just stay away from mmo's.
The only exclusively PvE mmo to even be somewhat mainstream (and I mean real MMOs, not Maple Story or Hello Kitty) are the Final Fantasy ones. All the others seem to have PvP worked into them but you can play on PvE-only servers or whatever. If you're going to give up on PvE-based MMOs, you're basically just saying you're either dropping SE MMOs altogether (this is probably a good idea anyway), or you are only playing on PvP servers for all the others. It's kind of a broad statement!
I am of course taking PvE-based game to mean "has absolutely no chance of PvP".
People on ZAM and Core are fucking retarded fanboys beyond anything I could have imagined, ESPECIALLY ZAM. If those people are to be believed the game is perfect as is. There are SEVERAL people on ZAM trying to argue that SP gain is just fine. I just want to strangle these people.
Oh and Core is ran by furries.
I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere in this thread but Rapid Synthesis Blows! The fail rate is so high it rarely ends up being rapid, which is BS. Also they need to increase the potential progress gain from 30% to 35% so there's at least a chance to finish in 3 moves.
