I was having the constant DC problem. I reset my router, modem and restarted my PC. I haven't DC'd since.

A nice fix I'd like: Exhaltation/Tranquility. When you go form mage > crafter or crafter > mage it won't reset the timer. Went to fix my weapon today while grinding in the field and a few battles later when I went to use exhaltation I had 7 mins on the timer. Would be nice if that switch didn't affect the timer since that kinda screwed me.
That's the way it used to be. They changed it recently to how it is now. Once they reduced the timers it pretty much made mana worthless for every class because every 5 minutes you could get half your mana back on any job. That's why they added the timers back in. I think it's good the way it is now but I'm not an expert on mage rotations. I was using Radiance/Damnation up to 20 so my mana rarely ticked below full.
edit: oh...to crafter only...yeah I see what you mean.
Yes there should be some measure of danger in the game and all but you shouldn't put leve mobs in a cave with skeletons 10 levels above you and make it so the mobs can't be pulled out of the room. Shit like that isn't "difficulty", it's just shit design. If the strategy required is "zerg and hope something dies before you do" that is generally bad. If the strategy is "bring more people for a solo leve" that is bad as well. You should be able to use your skills and ability to solve difficult situations in a game or it's just pointless.
Lancer doesn't get a new weapon option between ranks 16 and 26. What is up with the 10 rank gaps on new main hand weapons for just like 2 classes?
Do what the pros do and use one 20 ranks too high for ya.
Because content is hard.
All the technical fixes are great and all, but a polished turd is still a turd. Oh boy Market Ward search! Oh damnit I STILL don't want to play because levelling past 20 is like slamming my head into a wall and there's no fucking content worth that trouble. Therefore Market Ward search is almost pointless at this time, to me, in my opinion.
They added a tonne of new ALC recipes to break down fish into shards and crystals. The recipes all take lightning shards or crystals.
I think SE will probably change the SP system in the next big patch. I'm sure they know we hate it, they probably just didn't have a new system ready for December patch. Didn't they say we'd see a patch in January?
Getting sick and tired that tab does not auto target PARTY MEMBERS FIRST.
I loooove smashing tab (easier to reach then f2), hitting cure and realizing the guy clear across the grass is the one I targeted to.
I want a button to cycle through NPCs, or to target the mob currently engaged. Targeting is a nightmare in behests.
Probably why they kept smacking the billygoats in the one I just did.
I just don't get why it's not "closest first", because this guy was like.. JUST within tabbing range and I was trying to cure the person in front of me.
I hate how if you damage a yellow mob as you're killing your main target, you loose xp or if you kill it and it's yellow you get nothing at all. Just did a solo behest on my 17 thaum; 4 minutes and 3.1k sp due to being able to aoe groups of mobs. Shame you can't do that kind of stuff outside of leves atm.
edit: actually whats worse is being in a party for behest and the party splitting up to kill two different groups of mobs. Only one group can be claimed at a time so you loose a ton of sp. I would think this should be a high priority to get fixed.
There needs to be more variation in rewarded items from local leves.
Pie Dough, Faerie Apples, Coerthas Carrots, and Wild Onions are your only base reward for any Cooking leves, period. Maybe they could offer a few materials related to the item you crafted for the leve... while obviously adjusting it so not to ruin the rarity of certain ingredients. Though I am enjoying the copious amounts of apples, now that I can use them, I have thrown away more carrots and onions than you can fathom.
P.S. The "eluder" abilities are incredibly awkward, unintuitive, and almost useless. Especially since only Disciples of the Land/Hand can use them. Change them to simply a sneak/invisible/shed-hate effect vs all relevant monsters that lasts for 10 seconds or so and remove the need for "Active Mode." Having to hit the ability, choose the SINGLE target to de-aggro while you're in the midst of getting your ass beat, and then needing to switch back to Passive Mode to continue running is a big let-down for an entire series of abilities.
You say this like people fought shit in ffxi, rather than just use sneak invis through all aggro mobs? Everyone cussed like crazy if someone forgot pots or dropped sneak and aggroed something, especially if they got killed. Aggro was a nuisance to ffxi players and if there was any more of it people would bitch in this game too. Not that I don't think there should be some danger though, there should be. But having no reason to go anywhere dangerous is part of that problem. it alwasy seems to circle around to lack of content huh?
I am really happy with the no sneak/invis in this game so far. That was such a pain in XI. Yea, it gave it a more realistic idea that there are aggressive mobs out there but in XIV there's plenty of them in dungeons all over. Yesterday after I took a peek at that HUGE buffalo NM then I ventured into mistbeard's cave(or whatever its called). After dodging the slugs that randomly pee on you, I was unable to explore the rest of the cave due to aggressive mobs blocking the way(orobon, yarzon, flan). This kinda gives it a realistic feel. Not to mention that if you explore off the 'path' from city to city you're bound to find some 'nests' of mobs like those lizard beastmen types and other stuff. Total personal preference but I like this better than XI's load of aggressive mobs that you were required to sneak/invis past on the way to like every camp in the whole game. One thing I'm not happy about? Mini orobon are stupid, give me big ones back.
