I love how NPCs can take up to 2 minutes to appear.
Edit: Congratulations SE, make that 4 minutes. Suck at programming some more please.
Probably already been mentioned but pretty much all of these
D: should have added
D: target npc
D: make arrows with camera angles
K: among other minor details
D: make autotranslator work better (random things can't be translated at times, including zone names)
H: Make the chat limit more than 85 characters
H: It's less than a fucking text message
D: yes lol
K: make the UI not fucking god awful
D: server lag is a bit bad <_<
24 hours, gained like 5 anima. I love all the people who think the anima system is fine. Fucking retards lmfao.
It could use an increase, but I don't understand the fury about it.
Undergarments should not take damage. I have been mining and harvesting and I removed any of my higher gear because it is a pain to repair and find mats sometimes and I thought it would be easier. I couldn't go 45 mins (travel time included) of gathering before I was under Heavy Damage (red icon). So that means I am either spending a huge amount of time running back from deeper camps (ie Grade 2-3 ranges) or burning through all my anima going back and forth to repair items that don't even fucking do anything.
I keep saying it but the minimap needs to be set to rotate. I hate the stationary map, I am constantly running the the wrong direction.
When you list an item for repair in your bazaar why the fuck does the money you are offering have to take up an additional slot? We have 10 slots, so you can have at most, 5 items up for repair. If you want to bazaar overnight and throw in some gear to have it repaired while you are AFK you are wasting a lot of space.
Local leves have you going out to obscure aetherytes (not ones you get battle leves for) just to deliver the results. If I get on to do some quests I don't like spending an hour or two synthing and auto running to spots where there is rarely even one other person and lots of mobs that aggro and kill in one hit. Sure I still have 40 anima but knowing that I can't use it even 'rather' freely is bothersome.
With the whole durability, +1/+2/+3 and stars system, it's no wonder SE is afraid of implementing an AH. Maybe the BS justifying market wards is no more than a cover up for avoiding having to come up with a way to organize the clusterfuck of possible varieties of a single item there can be.
So,
is NPC repairing broken? I just spent a few k gil on my willow wand to have it repaired from 0 to 75% at the npc, along with all the other gear that was damaged. Then I switched to BTN and repaired my hatchet to 75% as well. Everything looked alright, gear damage debuff wore off in both cases, I got on the boat offa Limsa. After arriving in Thanalan I switched back to Conj to kill stuff. Whoa. Everything I've just had repaired was back down, my willow wand had 1 durability left on it. Switching back to BTN showed the same results. gear damage and everything. WTF?
It needs to go up for sure (along with favour), but from your initial comment, it does sound like you are partially to blame for wasting 50+ anima in a single day.
Remember, you can return for 2 anima, or death warp for 0. If you plan out your journey even a little in advance, you'll be fine.
As for leves, if you see one in a place that's far off, don't take it. I had to run to Blue Fog one time, it was horrible. Whenever I see that location in a leve, I avoid it.
Random Complaint: Last (planned, not emergency) maintenance was 18:00-21:00 CEST (i.e. servers went down when I was home from work). Today's maintenance is from 18:00-21:00 CEST (i.e. servers are going down when I'm home from work).
This is FF11 again. Is it so hard to shift the maintenance window like HNM windows?
Anima teles are kinda clearly not supposed to be used to teleport around the world at will. I only tele somewhere maybe once a day. Otherwise, I plan to do everything in one zone+city, and then move on if need be. I don't get what's so difficult about that. I haven't had a problem doing all battle and local leves within my 36 hours as well as random other things and I'm at 88 anima as we speak. I'm walking from Ul'dah to Grid, getting some leves, and then going to sleep. I assume by the time I play tomorrow, after work, I'll be in the low to mid 90s and port from Grid to LL to get the last lvl 10 leves and, depending on what local leves are available in Grid, a few more of those.
It's not that hard. Just don't assume you can go back and forth between cities multiple times instantaneously without having to take it easy for several days afterward. I'm sure after airships and chocobos are turned on, this will be simpler, but it's not like it's very hard to do even now. A little foresight and discipline never hurt anyone.
For the rank 20 leves a friend and i currently have a really efficient route to take which is working nicely. Starts in gridania and ends in limsa it is;
Gridania > Camp Tranquil > walk to Uldah > go to Camp horizon > catch boat > do Limsa leves > end for the night. So for now it isn't too bad, however when needed to go to camps like Nine Ives and the like walking is going to suck massively, but hopefully by then chocobos will be implemented and it won't be so bad.
I overall enjoy the game and all its prettiness, but I do have a complaint or two.
Since I'm doing pugilist for now, I figured I'd figure out how to make some new punching devices. First look told me to get some leather himantes, Okay lets do that. I was able to make my own materials for the most part since I do leather working and blacksmithing. And then I was on to the last two ingredients. Leather knuckle guards, alright let- Oh god. "You must be level 20 for this material recipe noob, lol!" Well, perhaps I might be able to find some crazy cool japanese guy selling it no biggy, next! Undyed canvas. Clothcraft, level 20 as well? Sadfacing.
But alas, I'm over it. Only other complaint is something I didn't directly notice until earlier today. I have some sort of graphic glitch that causes a rising horizontal line of frozen patches of certain frams, sorta like how you scroll a web page quickly on a very old and shitty computer. It's driving me no less than insane. Cause now as I travel, I watch it go up, and up, and up, and... Yeah~
This is a great rant post. It's a bit over the top but I agree to some extent on ALL points.

The points he brought up have some legitimacy, but he sounds like a complete idiot in the way he wrote every one of them.
Who the hell said it was flawless? Who the hell said any of the things he brought up were any of the adjectives he says they are not?You think your battle system is flawless?
His complaints about the crafting system don't have any substance and are just him QQing about whoever he had make his item not knowing what the fuck they were doing.
Yeah, the game wasn't complete, we all know that and they sure as hell know that.
http://www.nickycakes.com/wp-content...03/crybaby.pngThis is me feeling betrayed.
$100 says the kid will still play.
His rant is more angled towards the developers, obviously. The fact that they released the game prior to it being ready is the whole point of the argument. We all know it isn't ready and now in 2 days, it'll be in full swing but I can almost say that the game won't be as successful as they want it to be at launch and hopefully that's the case because with how the server lags now, more people will just clutter it up. The menus and NPCs load times are as inconsistent as I've ever seen. Good luck trying to find the Battlewarden in a camp with 20+ people.
