Complaint of the day: Having to reference the same page on lodestone over and over and over because people apparently can't read or take 2seconds to look anything up.

Random system is completely random. I wish they would add an algorithm that makes local leves far below your level stop appearing. They are daily quests with no story involved. Nobody would miss them.

Major complaint: This game is too casual. In fact it is the most casual MMO on the market.

You know, I've encountered just a few times where it blazed right through my macro and I only blinked one solid time to equip everything. I think it was a glitch, heh.

It's terrible when you die on a leve due to misplaced fuck mobs like mitelings in Nanawa and you have to run while changing and you are blinking while running and can't autorun or turn until the horrid slow process is complete.

I get that alot, however it's normally accompanied by me getting stuck in place/invis for a good 10~20s (depending on area) after the swaps are done, annoying as hell because you can't move anything like that.

The blinking wouldn't be anywhere near as bad if you didn't stop moving when you blinked, wth is this even for? it's not like we can blink out abilities like in 11

I agree that content-wise, it's 100% casual. But your can totally exp it "hardcore" if you want to. Between leves and grinding xp'ing on cob-/doblyns for hours upon hours, you get the feeling that maybe this game was made by Koreans. Since school is out and between jobs for another few weeks, I've been exp'ing the hell out of gladator like that. I've gotten 6 ranks in ~10days, and I could be putting in way more time if I wanted to.

Which of the following issues you would like to see addressed first? *

    The Armoury system
    The combat system
    The user interface
    Server response times
    The markets system
    Maps
    Guildleves
    Lack of in-game content
    Other

Looking at this survey question they just posted on Lodestone makes me realize that I don't give a shit about any 'one' of these items. If they stick to their current update schedule and add/fix like one of these per month (and I KNOW that's what they plan on doing) the game is going to fail so epically hard. They need to add/fix like 6 of these at a time for anyone to care.

Also I'm going to LOL really hard if they plan on adding PvP to this game like they seem to be suggesting in the survey. Like they REALLY need to be dealing with the multitude of balance issues PvP would introduce to the game. We don't even have a fucking battle system that remotely works and they are asking if we want PvP. It is like a caveman trying to invent a rocket ship.

Actually that post was more of a joke one referencing a ZAM thread where they have come to that conclusion. Granted their definition of "casual" is a player being able to do "something" in 15-30 minutes whereas my personal outlook is time investment vs real progress.

If someone were to ask me I would say this game is not casual in the slightest.

I don't really understand this. It's like you're assuming they could fix all this stuff in a month, but just...won't. If they can, then yes, that's obviously what they should do. I'm not sure why would we conclude that that's possible, though. So, assuming that, it seems as if you're saying they should do one huge update that has all that in like March or something. Here's the problem with that: people are still playing the game. Why not add something to the game every month to keep the people playing it actually playing it and rewarding their perseverance? People who don't play will still see in, say, April, all the progress that's been made up to that point and either play or not. But waiting to release something new? No.

I'm getting all the DoW and DoM jobs to 20 and then I'm basically gonna log in once or twice a week for some leves. No use trying to grind it out 20+ soullessly right now. For fun? No. To reach something? No. If they want to keep people like me- people playing- interested, they need to give us something new and improved every few weeks. The guy that's not playing? Whether there's a big update in March or whatever that addresses everything you mentioned or it happened incrementally, he'll still see that in March. It won't matter to him. It will matter to me and other people playing.

I'm getting the impression they won't do any major updates this month, only something minor if anything at all. It sounds like they're busy 'restructuring' and 'planning' what to do.

Which I can understand. But once I get those aforementioned jobs to 20, I won't be playing much. When they have an update, I'll come back. I'm not the only person playing like this, I know, so I'd think they'd want to churn out regular updates for relatively small shit often, as opposed to saving it all up and hoping people are still paying attention. I mean, they could just work on fixing the game and first expansion and make a super huge update in December 2011, but, in that case, we all know holding out for a super update is stupid. I'm saying the same approach towards the fixes mentioned would be just as dumb.

I'm venting. This is a complaint thread, yes? I realize it's impossible to fix everything at once. My saying "fix it all now" is a manifestation of my frustration. It's like if you hire an employee and they do jack shit for 6 months. Then when it all catches up with them, obviously you're going to say "You did nothing for 6 months so you made your bed; fix it NOW or sod off". S-E "can" take as long as they want to update and/or fix things. That's OK. You can talk about what's realistic and what isn't with the current team-- that's OK too. I'm saying that players don't care and they aren't going to wait 12 months or whatever for the game to be playable. But yes, keep on truckin' with those 1 feature per month updates. See how many players you have left when you're done.

I'm in the same boat. Only so much grinding of a craft until you're sick of it. And only so much grinding 20+ of a combat class before you want to claw your eyes out. Crafting wouldn't be so bad if the damn wards would stop crashing so maybe I could sell something.

Hell fix the aoe/no sp thing for normal mobs so I could kill links without trying to NOT damage them until I kill the mob I was originally focusing on. That would make me happy.

hey, it's casual as hell for me. i get on thinking i wanna play all day before i realize how godawful the game is. and i log off after 15 minutes of chatting to ls about tv shows. i don't even get to do that "something" that other people get to do. did i meet your game's goals, SE?

never played any mmo so casually in my life, kinda makes me feel good

I don't really understand what a casual mmo is. If you're playing a mmo odds are you're spending a lot of time on it. So casual means.. easy to get around, easy to get gear, easy to solo, just easier? I'm kinda lost. Never played WOW but I hear that's casual? And I've about had it with this yellow mob/no sp crap. I can't even begin to count the sp I've lost during behest, leves, or just grinding in general where I've got aggro from aoe, behest members killing yellow mobs, etc. The bug has been there for like 1.5 months, fix it already!

What the fuck did they do to BlueFog? It's like walking across a mine field. I teleported there from Gridania to turn in a local leve and run to Ul'dah. I had to dodge about 30 diremites that were red to my 44 goldsmith and got to the vultures with about 40 HP left. I made it to Ul'dah because the vultures are the easy part. But how does SE expect anyone below rank 40 to make it to BlueFog without teleporting there?

Almost everywhere they have put diremites has been really bad mob placement. It wouldn't be so bad if there was only a few on the route that you could get around like the run in to Broken Water, but BlueFog is just ridiculous.

Ran into awesome placement of them today doing adamantine wills in the mines. Would be an awesome leve except that the coblyns spawn right on top of two mites, and you have to run 2 mins across the zone every other pop.
