So, I felt like playing a bit, so I picked up a few Leves, but my inventory was full, so I decided to drop off some items on my retainer.
40 minutes later, I've exchanged 20 items and I have lost all interest I had when I first logged on and probably for the next few days.

There's absolutely no excuse for all the terribly implemented and unfinished things in this game. If all this stuff isnt fixed, or at least attempted to be fixed by the time the free period is over, I'll definitely be canceling my account.

That means your server crashed. They won't post anything about it until they fix it, but generally the blog posts on the right side start flooding with people going "omg server down" pretty quick.

You can abandon a Behest by talking to the Battlewarden again.

I am feeling more and more certain that MMORPGs attract the type of people who wish they got (could get) into video game developing, thinking they know everything about it, and try to live vicariously through crying about it on forums and trying to spearhead rebellions against them for they know how to make a better game.

I am pretty confident saying that anyone who bought this game expecting it to be finished/polished upon release was being naive. We all saw the changes through the beta and it was very slow. They said they wanted more time. We said they needed more time, we bought the game anyways.

If we were supposed to know FFXIV would suck (I mean, I couldn't agree more with this, it was fairly obvious from the interview they had no grasp of the real issue), why are you defending the developper? There is so many things that are fundamentally wrong with this game I have no trouble believing posters could do better work than them.

I never expected the game to be finished. I think my main concern is that I don't see how SE can turn this into a good game. Really, I can't see it and I think this is the same feeling a lot of people have...

We'll see, hopefully they talk to the community more and show us their plans for the future. Doubt it though, this is SE after all.

I want to see active patches. No waiting 2-3 months for a content patch that fixes shit and adds new content. Keep that patch thats intended for 2-3 months down the road to implement new content (NM/s, Choco's, ect... w/e it may be), but I want them to start rolling out those fixes asap.. as they are done and ready.

AoC: was buggy as shit, but the core game was there.
WAR: End game was horrible and the lving curve towards the end of the game became way to daunting for most ppl because the grind was just plain boring. That, and their servers couldn't handle the pvp load.
Aion: doesn't count since was released a year prior to the US getting it.
FFXIV: Core game mechanics are broken, its missing all the basic necessities a mmo needs (im looking beyond the AH). They tried to hard to revolutionary and some things (like the repair system and getting things repaired outside of the npc; the snergy between crafters and combat classes) can be borderline tedious. And they tried to make a game for casuals and ended up making it just as, if not more, time consuming then XI lol

Bah this game feels so hollow to me, with a side of lag. It's like FFXI, but with player interaction cut down to a minimum. I would prefer to go grind crabs for 6 hours straight than do lame ass guild leves. Leves require more running back and forth than actual fighting, especially when the difficulty scale is the way it is (you either 2 shot a mob, or get raped by it).

The only time I ever grind my DoW classes is when I run out of crafting materials, because I prefer to craft (and I'm a big time craft hater - it's that bad).

Can I get some fucking quivers for my Archer, cause 30 stacks of arrows is great and all, but I need some crafting materials. Good thing that once I have all these arrows, I still have to run back and forth because my stupid weapons keep breaking (I have 2 of them, a bow and a lance). Then after all this running, we get to the scenario that all my gear is severely under-leveled, because I don't have 3 hours to search through bazaars full of Walnut, Walnut +1, Walnut +2, and Walnut +3 (thanks for selling them to me btw, I fucking love walnuts).

Why do macros require like 3 minutes and so much fury to activate, was it so hard to copy-paste XI's macro interface? What am I supposed to use them for anyway, seeing as how I'd have to use 5 just to change my gear and abilities at higher levels due to this wonderful 10(?) line limit?

There is so many more things, but I've probably gone over my whine limit anyway.

This is my main complaint too.

If I'm soloing leves I should be able to complete leves with a reasonable amount of difficulty to make the leve last 15-20 minutes with 0-2 deaths. But as you say you either two shot the mobs and finish your leve in five minutes or you get raped and find yourself running from the aetheryte every few minutes because they're raping you on the same difficulty level you just did the previous leve.

I think the problem is the suggested ranks. They all say rank 10, yet some of these rank 10 leves you probably need to be rank 15 to do them. If the leve told me the easy leve was rank 10, and the harder one rank 15 I'd be able to choose a more apprropriate difficulty level.

anyone else got a bug where you just cant generate tp? during battles losing 500tp every second is FUIFOEJWOKJFOWKJFKING annoying, know at least 4 other ppl with this problem too.

Edit: Sent a message to SE's FF14 Bug report thingee, and they said that you're not meant to report bugs to the bug report thingee. the fuck? lol
Please tell me that someone else outside of my group of friends is having this TP loss bug, havent seen it posted anywhere else

when i read pre-release that leaves are now 36 hours instead of 48 hours, i was shocked. hurray for more uselessness and timesink and unbalanced shit. instead of rise the cooldown of new leaves, fix them and improve rewards gear / skill wise, so player would look forward to be able to do their next leaves, they reduce the cooldown...

in my judgement all that this is good for is a nice inflation that we will experience soon.

game has some nice features like the ability (sub job) system and meeting old friends again is what keeps me ingame, otherwise id cancel my account and wait a year to come back. still to many heavy well known bug (since the beta lol) and everytime i see there is a maint is for anything but bugfixes.

the worst thing is also the usual thing: i have the feeling that se doesnt give a flying fuck about concerns and issues of the community and wont change anything.. here we go

I noticed that mobs don't despawn either like they did in XI. Last night, me and a buddy were duo'ing some leves and the exp/skill was pretty damn sweet. Anyway, we were killing some moles and somebody trained an "Angler" mob/fish back through one of the paths. Well, it began one shotting everybody that ran by for a good 15 minutes or so before people stayed away. I was hoping a little thing like this would not be an issue in FF14.

My complaint is of all the people bitching and moaning about all the problems in this game. The people who cry about anima recharge rates but blow through 40 anima in 5min. Or who don't have the forethought to plan a route out and think ahead.

The people bitching about crafting lag while trying to craft next to the fucking aethyryte stone in camp. The people bitching about not being able to find mobs to grind on while looking right outside said starter camp.

The fucking complaining about not being able to craft shit in the game when the economy is 1 week old. The people shouting about lack of content in a brand new fucking game.

You people must be fucking kids. CLEARLY u didn't play vanilla ffxi or even vanilla wow because wait for it........ Suprise! This is how MMOs play when they first release!

One thing I am happy about is that all the ridiculous complaints u guys have are making u quit the game which is a good thing. U guys are the players that would be shitting up my end game ls complaining about unfair drops or points. The sooner u all leave to go back to your already established mmos the better.

I don't know if you know this or not, but the thread you are posting on is for complaints. If you don't want to read them, look the other fucking way and move on, chief. There are things to complain about and as far as your white knight attitude goes, the menu system lags like hell regardless of where you are or where you craft...PERIOD! CLEARLY you chose the wrong forum because you were looking for the "White Knights rejoice and play the game no matter how broken things are" thread. Move on.
