There's enough people to have multiple shells running around killing the NMs, including some shells that are pretty big and were just assembled through open shouting earlier. Given that the lfg function isn't really being used because of the way it was designed, I don't think more people would get it to be used. The only think more people would really do on a server is end up creating more conflict over trying to get the few current NM's (conflict that really doesn't exist presently). I don't mind competing for NM's, but I don't mind being able to go out and fight these pretty much whenever I want either (for now). Competition can come when people come naturally, and we have more epic NM's than a buffalo.
As far as people getting mad over low level content being added later, I don't think it's an issue (too much). New jobs will be added later, and this game really requires you to level up multiple jobs to get the most out of any. So even if you had everything at 50 now, you'll be able to go back and experience the content on whatever new jobs they add in. Also - level 50 isn't going to be the end-game level. They'll raise the level cap I'm sure, and we'll be able to do new quests on our main jobs as we go up to 60 or 75 or whatever.
I have to say I don't think this is an awful game either. I'm so much happier with it than I was at the release. Needs content obviously, and more stuff like that. New (nicer) maps would be good. Whatever, everyone's heard the list. But the point is I think huge improvements have taken place, and it looks like the duck is going to keep them up.
