I don't know how SE is going to handle this situation when they "re-release" the game once it is considered palpable for re-marketing. Who would want to join any of these established (corrupted) servers that have people with multiple Rank 50 crafting, gathering, and fighting classes with millions upon millions of gil, and the economy being so defective.

It's a double edged sword i don't think SE thought about. Everyone is playing to stockpile gil and be XIV's version of JP's in XI, but most people know better this time and won't join a game they're so far behind in. While the argument can be made that it's free and anyone can do just that, i see no point in it. I'd rather experience content than turn XIV into another job.

Not at all. Just a normal conversation with a GM with a touch of ass kissing. I'm not sure what you're expecting. For all we know that was a 15 year old kid, but a 15 year old kid with a legitimate complaint none the less. If you have your bar set that high, I'm kind of wondering how much experience you have with MMOs. Hell, I'm wondering how much experience you have with people. In case you haven't noticed, they fail.

I think it was a good conversation considering the kind of answers I usually get from GMs. Players on ffxi were using some major dupes to level quick, get stupidly high amounts of gil, or gain items at an otherwise impossible pace.

I hope they do not take any action against it for a while or action on the players who used it.

But ya know what, SE probably will. First and foremost, it has been talked about in detail around the net, and on OFFICIAL fansites from what I've been hearing. This makes me laugh because that just means SE knows about it (just like Salvage dupe) but aren't taking any action. Or maybe they just don't read their fansites (also very likely!) well enough.

It is an exploit too, undeniably. However, time runs out on leves. It's not as if it lasts forever. This shit happens incidentally all the time too. I don't personally know how to recreate it, nor do any of my linkshell players. How will SE determine what players are abusing a mechanic and which are doing it mistakenly? I'd love to know how they will separate the good and bad there.

A bit of a "lol" moment from that conversation--"level my character the right way"? What way would that be? Doing all the shitty leves linked up like they seemingly intended? Not failing the leves on purpose (which btw is just as much an exploit as forcing the leve to bug out FYI). I'll bet $100 the dude who sent that GM call fails his leves on purpose all the time to "exploit" the system every cycle.

If your leve bugs on accident, you keep killing mobs because the game keeps spawning them. Whether you get 10k or 30k from your leve doesn't matter. You still only have 30mins to complete it in. I understand this is all gray-area stuff, so that's just my opinion. Let's just be real about it--SE's game sucks pretty bad in the coding department.

I don't really see why there is an uproar. It's not gamebreaking like the mage lvling thing was back in the day. It's only a little extra sp. Calling for BANS? Come the fuck on. Seems nobody questions the thousands of people with all of the non-cooking crafting jobs above rank 40 somehow but people whine about a couple thousand extra exp that some people sometimes randomly are able to get.

I think the person that you want to take out of the rotation needs to go back into passive mode for their skill to be removed from the regimen list.

I hate how enfeebles seem to have such a minimal impact and last for like half a minute if that. RDM was one of my favorite jobs in XI because of the ability to debuff stuff, bring it down to your level in a sense. THM is fucking weak in this aspect. Maybe it's just my stat allocations at the moment, but even watching others put debuffs on the mob i've seen them wear off quickly. They wear off before the recast is even up. Is this SE's way of telling us we need to team up and alternate casting debuffs on mobs?

I was doing Necrologos leves at Nophica for gladiator's mark. Killed like 10 group of ram in 28 before the elemental spawn....

Werent they suposed to make necrologos leves more constant or some shit? I shouldnt have to clear so many to makes the last monsters spawn.


And why the last fight automatically aggro? If every other fight before were "just fine", the bonus fight at the end is going to one shot you. Yeah, next time I'm going to drop difficulty to oblivion like I should have done in the first place, but this shit is retarded.

That's one of the best leves in the game for SP and should definetly not be touched. If used properly with links and aspect, you can get 750+ SP per mob. Times that by 10 pops of 2 and you got 20+ mobs for 15k+ SP. From one Leve.

I heard today that XIV is free to play until they fix it up, is this true? If so, is there any list of patch notes as to their progress with the game? I'm curious to see what issues they've fixed so far, because when I left this game wasn't worth playing for free. Also, did they add any endgame / NMs?

Nothing worthwhile was added

Xp curve is better under 30, craft can be repeated without leaving the menu, you can play with mouse/keyboard but it's still unefficient compared to every other mmo because of the interface that is heavy on menu and list, they added a few quests, but they are a chore, market ward is dead, getting repair takes longer than ever because no one is playing...

If you didnt like the game a few months ago, don't bother yet. This game is empty and depressing.

I disagree in part with the first line, at least on Kashuan. The market wards seem full here, and it's not hard to get stuff it seems, and I've had no issue getting stuff repaired. However, it seems like the vast majority of players are Japanese, which does make for an empty, depressing play-experience for those of us on EU times. The only English-speaking players I seem to find are either total newbies, people at max level, or those poor fools like me who log on a few times a month seemingly just to be reminded why we logged off last time, but keep hoping for improvement.

Repairs can take a long time to get done so it's almost required you network or have a solid bunch of crafters in your LS. I personally got crafts all to 20 or close so I could it myself for my low level jobs.

The market ward in Ul'dah on Figaro usually has what you're looking for too, but not always at the price you're looking for. It is all about who you know when it comes to the market on my server.

Wards crashed on Palamecia earlier after JP time had already ended. 4 hours later the wards are still completely empty other than RMT shards. JPs really are the only players left. I haven't heard of anyone having trouble with repairs by shouting in Ul'dah though. Just stop offering 1k gil for Jade Hora repairs and people will repair for you.

I sit at the repair npc for hours with my lv30 gears set at 10k, and no one repair it. It used to take a few minutes.
