I don't necessarily find that to be a satisfying experience, but it's still pretty easy to do and will always equal at least one full level all the way to 50. In the 30s you're looking at 2-3 levels per link session.

Your server might be more populated than mine, or maybe you log when there is NA online (I'm usually playing during jp time), but shouting in town is exactly what I'm doing, and I rarely get a reply.

And while we are at it, why are they not giving the same 3 leves to everyone? It's hard enough to find someone to link with, having 3 random one 7-8 leves per camp isn't helping.

Cos they're dumb. As of right now you have to abandon to keep the 'good' leves or you're not going to find anybody ever. Like Grey, I've had Dunesfolk/RR/Cracked Up/Levinshower/Inferno/Toads in my log since last year with the two last slots for random guild mark leves. Hopefully that changes when they add the 'completion rewards' for actually finishing the leves.

Man somehow I managed to buy every guildmark ability in the game rotating those two fucking slots every reset. Shit was maddening.

Active r50s to do what? My LS has a ton of active players with multiple r50s, it makes no difference. There's nothing to do as a LS event. Even the dungeons coming up are a moot point for LS since it's min/max of 8ppl to enter. You can solo the roaming NMs if you'd like. Going out and killing those things just about everyday might seem fun b/c it's somewhat new to you (I dearly hope so at least) but imagine doing that for months. You're capped on gear, HQ and NQ, and have drops rotting on retainers in an attempt to sell them.

I'm not trying to poop on your parade, but having a bunch of 50s to "do stuff with," is a moot point when there's nothing to do that you couldn't accomplish otherwise.

Hmm I'm getting a weird lag after maintenance, almost every time I use an action, it is taking like a sec or two before the action is going off. Anyone else having this problem?

So, the Verdant Drop aetherial gate is covered in Rank 60~62 Anoles and Wild Boars. I regret checking it. I can't death-Return without getting immediately smacked back down to the ground, even at Rank-50. I can't stay safe long enough to Teleport anywhere. I may have to GM call this shit. What the hell were they thinking?

edit: Fucking finally, they all turned their backs just long enough to get the shit out of there. That's what I get for exploring.

I hate how huge the maps are, and how every scene is so repetitive (Gridania). I love nature, and love the feel of Gridania, though. Too bad Gridania is empty compared to Ul'Dah for the most part.

So I wanted to check out the forums yesterday and got the msg that I didn't log in game for 30 days. Ok, I think, lemme fix that in a sec. Logged on, waited a bit, logged off and... still can't view forums even today

updates are too slow, too small and too far apart.

and I agree with Ketski. However I feel that its not so much that the zones are too big, its just too much copy/paste. there's nothing different or cool to explore in a zone simply cuz its the same grass, same tree, same log, same rock.

when you're in a zone there's no reason to go anywhere except the camps and aetheryte crystals. bugger all NMs. mobs seemingly randomly placed. its like living in Australia. huge country, fuckin no reason to go to inland though.

also, the LFP and search functions need to be fixed. they were great in 11 (and such was one of the few games where party exp with randoms was generally good, fun, rewarding and such an important part of the metagame) but in 14 there's no reason to do anything other than hang out with a conjurer buddy to curespam you.

Out of boredom and curiosity I logged on recently. Checked out the bazaar system and it's still horrible. I never got far into the game from launch. It was just too complicated. I'm really impressed with all of you who've stuck with it somehow.

Can you tell me how you enjoy playing this game? I would like to know so that I could try myself. I log on and its pretty much the same content since launch outside of two dungeons.

I'm gonna have to agree with draylo on that, I would love to know how to garner enjoyment from this game

I mean I wanted this to be my hobby for the next 3-5 years, and at this point, that is never going to happen. I litterly can't even log in to do my guild leves because i just despise most of the mechanics

and I really don't want too. But when i see how smoothly a game like Rifts comes about, and I look back to the beta testing/launch of 14 I just can't help but think that not only was the game a disaster, but that it's creators had to have known how bad it was, and still released it for the sake of what I can only assume is money.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. The age old saying sums it up. The exact things you dislike about the game might just be what they like about it, who cares why they enjoy it..? They just do.
Of course don't think that means you shouldn't make fun of them for liking it as is.

Nobody is making fun of them, we're asking what about it they enjoy. Should be an easy enough question to answer, if only so we can see if we enjoy it to. Maybe we are doing something wrong? I can't possibly fathom how people enjoy playing this atm, but maybe I'm not doing something others can.
