"Their Finest Hour" has to be the most ironic quest ever. Fucking Earth Golem completely rapes you if you're even a split second late on applying the debuff and FFXIV's targeting system is sketchy at best. Why does Grid's r25 quest have to suck so much.

Is that the golem in the new company quest? It disappointed me, I expected a challenging fight but ran in, applied the debuff and one shot it. Hopefully we'll see a higher levelled one at some point.

=( Not being overly high level didn't help. More annoyed that it was so much harder compared to the other 2 city quests of the same level. 2 of them were against 4 lv 23s. This one is against a freaking lv 30.

Oh yeah, there was a debuff. I don't even remember using that, I just went straight in and killed it.

This. I can't get a chocobo at r25, because this Golem is such a douchebag, even with the debuff on.

Raging tonight. SE made logs and ores drop from gathering like candy yet went and severely nerfed the rate of leather entering the economy. They have no sense of balance. Boar leather is especially bad.

The shuffled around a ton of mobs. Don't be surprised if a particular group of mobs isn't there after the patch.

Stupid loot system for coffers. We were doing the Amaal'ja Beastman King, a gold key dropped, and thinking that we'd be able to just sort out whatever we got from it, just had the person who got the key open the coffer (in this instance a CNJ). Sentinel's Trousers dropped and went straight into his inventory. Of course they are Rare/EX, so there's absolutely no chance to give them to another party member. I'm not sure if they're the only Rare/EX item from that chest either as the droprate for the key is abysmal and most of the time the chest dropped random Mid 40s crafted items. So, be sure and have the person you want to get the item be the one to get the key. Called a GM and they said they couldn't do anything about it. They really need to have these coffers drop into the person's loot pool so they can give Rare/EX items to another party member. At least the CNJ in question is leveling GLA and the pants aren't anything super amazing, but still. :/

Thats a bandaid fix if I've ever heard one. What they need to do is completely redo the entire loot distribution system because it is abysmal.

Yeah for sure, when multiple people want an item what we do is an uninterested sack picks a number between 1-100, tells another uninterested party, and then we have the people who want the item guess and we pass the item to the person who guesses closest. It's completely silly. But yeah, the CNJ was leveling GLA anyway, it's in the 40s. Definitely not gonna guilt someone into leveling a class because they got an item by accident. ><

Really weird that coffers do that though, because even opening chests during leves while solo puts the items into your loot list.

I hate that they went out of their way to change a majority of recipes, removing their support/training requirements... yet they didn't update leves with these new recipes. Thus, they still often require training and support. Boo.

Gonna take a guess, but I think the issue is that you're ocean fishing with a bait that's meant for river (freshwater) fishing.
