People are so awful at this game, mages that take 15 seconds to cure you while your in red HP, MRD's that pull a group then wait 15 seconds to pull the next group despite MP being good and even then a good MRD can take a good beating for a bit without needing a heal.

One conj we got was nuking shit and people started to die and when asked where the heals were they said they were a BLM and left party because "I'm not a healer" ffs.

This is getting WoW bad and thats really saying something.

Just talking about this on LS today. A lot of people playing the game are clueless. CNJs that say they aren't good at curing (wtf), melees that will not pull. I always end up taking the pulling lead whenever I EXP PT since it's like pulling teeth to get people to do crap.

Considering CON has the elemental nukes I can sort of see it, but still a BS excuse since the learning curve isn't that bad.

I just wish the PT system was actually worth using. Sucks having to leve grind.

Since everything in this game can be done with 8 people, I only associate with about 7 people lol. Find good players and stick with them.

When ppl are going 1-45 in 3 days via plvl its no wonder they can't play their job.

Although plvl aside the average player you run into in this game does seem to be pretty bad.

Almost all of the horrible players I have run into in this game are either super-casual players (one day a week), or players who are returning since before 1.18 or 1.17. I run into way too many players who are returning for the first time since the big patches began and they have no fucking clue how anything works.

We had a thm in our pt that while the melee was wiping was only casting Scourge and Banish. Their reasoning? If they cure, they'll die. Kind of cool, I guess.

Currently hate mechanics in this game are still ridiculously off. Even with soughspeak it's easy to pull hate from heals.

Which becomes incredibly frustrating when you get an idiot mage who gets hate on something, then repeatedly cure-bombs themselves to stay alive... endlessly piling on enmity.

I don't deny that hate mechanics are screwed up. However, this was a thm refusing to heal period. Realistically, after the mrd had rounded shit up and done a storm's path it's not asking too much to cure.

Last week we had what would be considered a normal party in ffxi and after so many crappy pts it was like "OMG, not all parties suck." The thm cured without issue, one of the melees pulled and everyone else beat stuff up and didnt get all grass is greener "maybe we should try harder mobs"

Reminds me of a pt I was in pre-1.19 where a guy refused to set his HP at Iron Lake to move between camps quicker because his gear would "lose too much durability" from Return.

We could start a gimp players thread now, I've seen plenty of people in stronghold parties with lvl30ish weapons. I can forgive armor being outdated, but weapons on a DoW is ridiculous. That green Totorak weapon is not your best in slot to 50. But outside of that my biggest issue with players in xp parties has been constant AFKing (usually without notice) or leaving after 15 minutes. A gimp person is better than no person, especially since it's a pain to replace people with no player search.

I will retroactively add the moron Lancer that was in this Ifrit pickup group last night that would have been no doubt booted had the group not been 6/8 Japanese... he:

a) never stayed out of range of Sear.
b) never moved away from any Eruptions/Plumes.
c) died at least 3 times every fight because of it.
d) bitched about how impossible the fight was every time he died even though everyone else was fine.
e) ... got Ifrit's Harpoon on his first win that we carried him through because he was dead the entire fight.
