Sigh, I apologize that's how you feel about it. I didn't mean to throw a pity party for myself, just saying that this is the luck that I've had with my friends who all craft together with me. I've only gotten to tier 1 double melds on my own character and have tried to get a triple and move onto the next achievement. I was just trying to say I sympathize that the system is bullshit.

I wasn't trying to talk down your efforts because that sort of shit blows especially when you do it over and over. I've made attempts for people plenty of times and I cringe whenever the sound of exploding/fizzling happens. I tend to not take pictures of these failures as they make me feel miserable for both the person who gave me the mats and myself.

For the future, I will remember that taking snapshots of all my shit breaking is necessary. And you can tell from my achievements that I am an achievement whore trying to get them all and would never claim to say shit about hamlet since I've never done any. Never won a skirmish or any primals either so you don't see me listing those drops. The only thing I do is craft, chat, and aim for those achievements. Especially the ones that are expiring. And before you call me out on not having any meld ones recently, I've been working on behests and leves and leveling.

Again, I apologize and I realize you did not mean explicitly me but I do feel it is necessary to do so. My post was only meant to sympathize and in the future I will simply not say anything and just sympathize silently.

I keep a sheet of paper by my desk where I tally every fail so I can legit say I've gone 0/gdi. I stopped with moogle around 150 though cause at that point, it's clear my luck was complete shit. My good melds were almost always 10+ with some in the 20s.

Is that like.... 0 moogle weapons period or the one you were looking for?
I can't imagine entering to do that fight after 150 attempts of nothing... although I suppose the % chance would be in your favor at that point.

I have some horrible fucking luck with this too, since returning to the game a few weeks ago I've done easily 200+ moogles (I know how many keystones I've had to farm), and only gotten the fists 2x and 1 nut... then ofc the war in full af and dated +7 stat rings goes 1/1 on axe and never comes again etcetc

I literally just want the axe for CC since ifrits doesnt really cut it there acc wise without rings and I cannot get this pos

Meh, keep at it, or go for Lt. if yours has accuracy, or try Garuda luck. It's really not negotiable for WAR to not have an accuracy axe. I can only imagine trying to gear Bravura halfway worth a shit on real content.

Moogle was a total a cruel, cruel mistress for me. The drops I wanted most were axe and H2H.

My first 4 drops were 2 swords (job I never used) and 2 bows (job that doesn't need ACC) before I got a spear (ok) a wand (have never used it) and it was only after all those drops (which came in no short order) that I got 20 totems together, bought an axe, then on my very next run............got an axe. Desks were flipped, pillows were wept into, gods were cursed, etc.

Gave up on getting H2H, which is a damn shame because I solo on MNK quite a bit. Every now and then I think about doing it again but aside from moogle groups being extremely rare to begin with it would only be tolerable with experienced people, and most experienced people have gotten all they wanted from moogle and moved on.

Moogle has got a million times easier to PUG now that the masses realized that melees do just fine in it and that you don't have to have a party of archers/bards.

I keep telling people this game doesnt lock you out on jobs as much as people think. The freedom to come to any event with any job depends on the skills and mindset of the people. Moving and staying alive is just as important as DPS.

Sure range jobs lowers the learning curve as you dont have to move much to avoid aoe but if you are smart, you can clear any content with pretty much any job setup (although some are more efficient at it)

That WHM holy spam video is pretty awesome in thinking outside the box. More WHM need to realize how much of a powerhouse it is when geared correctly.

Fucking imagine that. In a way, it's why first kill videos are a negative along with a positive. People get stuck in the "ONLY THIS WAY WORKS NOOB" mindset. It's why Kirin took years of kiting before some ls decided to just push his shit in.

@Mina: It was 150+ before I got the weapons I actually wanted from moogle (Lance/Sword iirc), 20-30 before I got a weapon at all.

Yeah, you will pretty much always get two totems from winning that fight. It's two for winning in under ten min, one for winning in over ten min, and with that fight you will pretty much always be winning in under ten.

Garuda is the most generous since you're guaranteed 2 per win (if <10 mins), even with the 40 per weapon requirement, as opposed to RNG in Ifrit/Moogle.

That's really how they all should have been from the beginning. Make any win at least a tiny step in progressing towards a reward. Not sure why they couldn't have moved Ifrit/Moogles to that system other than the already-7/7s on the official forums making a big stink.
