I dunno about you guys, but I like CasualPlayer.

Ok so i could be wrong here, but in theory could i have all jobs capped and use all there abilites from rank 50 etc? given the JA points. If so im not sure i like it, it seems to offer little diversity when you would get to that stage, not to mention contradicts the whole fatigue system in a way...
Idk, i just think it would stop the sort of role type system if everyone can just heal themselves/nuke or whatever. I think id like to see it more like the sub job system, but a little advanced, where you could only equip abilites half of your level...
others are nerfed when subbed.
WHERE IS MAH MAGICAL SUPER PATCH OF AWESOMENESS THAT THEY NEVER SAID WAS COMING BUT WE ALL WANTED IT TO COME?
I've had shit do that run-away-and-regen shit and I just stood there while it ran. It would scamper off a few yards or so, stand there, rotate around a few times, regen once or twice, then look at me, range-attack me, and come back. It definitely wasn't a de-aggro.
@Lucavi: Where did I say you were grinding mobs?? I responded to your post about failing craft leves so that would imply I was talking about craft leves wouldn't it?
The reading comprehension is high in you sir. In my first response to you I even mention the word fieldcraft leve multiple times.....
I just lost 300 earth shards because I tried to move them to my retainer that all ready had 999 on it.
Thanks for the confirmation/warning message, SE.
Nah it's either an intended effect not just for deaggoring or it's bugged at the moment. I've already posted in the past in my own personal bitching about XIV thread about how dodo's have put me to sleep, then run away, healed, I'm still asleep, then they come back and attack me all on their own.
If you're trying to say it's an intended enemy mechanic then they're supposed to do it at any time. If you're saying it's an intended deaggroing mechanic that's different.
The regen mechanic better not be intended, it makes playing ranged jobs almost impossible. I've been trying to grind up my Archer, but this makes it nearly impossible. I'll damage the mob, then have it regen, and this lasts in an endless cycle until I just run out of HP. Last night I simply gave up and went to do some random quests, because it's just ridiculous.
Have you tried the "To Catch a Thief" level 20 leve? Those humanoids regen like mad, and they're nearly impossible to take down with a group of 6, on one star.
Intended mechanic my balls.
I honestly don't understand why ppl respond to mioko anymore. Everything we complain about, he will defend. End of story. There is no point in engaging him in debate
Just as others said, some you can't even use. Like the two mana gain abilities the mages get, on other classes. And although THM may be viable at nuking, they won't use Conjury to fill that role, because potency and recast time both suffer penalties for using the wrong class.
I am also sure that down the line when content is added, people will see more and more discipline only abilities that will help solidify its niche for its role.
Dear SE, please reopen Cornelia, thanks.
Whole bunch of old friends started there in CE week, and now I can't create my character there.

I'm saying that if its intended, then they've fucked over casters. Casters will have to close the distance and put themselves in harms way just to stop regen? Absurd.
I've never seen it done in another MMO, but I'm willing to yield to the notion that SE could genuinely be trying something different, where healers run back to heal and whatnot (even though the later stages of WoW's AI used tactics like this), but if that -is- the case, then:
1) Why would it apply to mobs that have no healing ablilities? In most games, if a mob wants to heal, it will use an ability, like Rabbits and Wild Carrot. These mobs are running back, NOT using an ability, and NOT giving us any indication that they are healing themselves. In fact, their method of healing looks suspiciously like the method of regeneration that mobs have upon DE-AGGROING.
2) Why wouldn't this form of healing simply go through bind? If you bind a mob in place, you stop this de-aggro healing. I find it suspicious that stopping the very method for the mob to de-aggro and run back to heal (at its spawn, not at a random distance area to recover one's health; if I were healing myself, I wouldn't simply need to run to a pre-scripted area - I'd use any distance I could) wouldn't stop a mob that simply was using an ability to heal itself.
