Right, nobody is complaining of legit issues. The game in it's current state is fantastic. IGE and IGN not are not credible sources for reviews nor are the hundreds of players on these forums ranting about the crap that SE pushed out.

Why don't you stfu till you can prove you aren't doing the same. I only just synced mine, but I'm pretty sure I'm still the only person who will pop up when you search for "Elrina" on Lodestone. I haven't done much, yet. Mostly when I log on, I stand still and chat in a corner, trying to decide what I should do. And end up not bothering. But it isn't difficult to take issues you've experienced in open beta, pay attention to the fact that everybody is basically still experiencing the exact same problems, and have something worth saying. He already paid for the game, so he's in the same boat as the rest of us.

We all want to enjoy this game as much as humanly possible. A bias implies that we want the game to do badly, which I assure you, nobody on this forum would be here bitching if that's how we felt.

Agree to disagree then. I'm actually content with the lodestone but I can respect your point. Certain major fixes I just assume they're going to patch (sort button, pt mechanics, etc.) I don't need the dev coming out and giving me the exact time and date and updating me every other day.

If shits not fixed in a reasonable amount of time then I stop paying just like everyone else. I don't need to know what the development or doing on a day to day to decide whether or not I'm going to keep playing.

Actually for the record, I already have punched it in, I just haven't set up payment yet, since that's when you get the free meth-er-crysta. So not only am I out the $180, I can't even transfer it off to anyone either (since my XI account is on my SE account as well). I didn't know if there'd be expirations on the armbands/helm/etc, so I wanted to go ahead and punch in those codes ASAP.

Which I suppose you can call helpful, because it is, but only in the capacity that they were giving us false information before that they fixed, they didn't mention adding anything extra.

The fact that there was a weekend means nothing. I doubt that they completely stop working simply because it's a weekend. Shifts, etc. Especially immediately after a major MMO release. They're probably all working a ton of overtime.

I also missed an update, apparently there was one two days before last, and it was five days before that.

My point was simply that the updates are about minor information (if any, considering today's), and are irregular and small. They've just released the game, they have information (even if it is staged Q&A) to pass to us and could update it every day or every other day with those. I'm sure they've got enough of that drivel for at least the next month planned out and written already.

I realize there will be a version update this week, but all we know about it is that it will affect the market wards and separate them into quadrants. Is that all the patch is going to be? Will there be more to it, or add the hoped-for search function to it? Why are we being kept in the dark until the last minute, if not the version update itself?

That's being worked on and won't be ready in time, but you should know this if you read the Lodestone that you care so much about. I doubt there will be any other major changes in the patch, just bug fixes. If they push out an update like that once a week I won't complain. It takes time to code this shit and do the internal testing, plus they don't want maintenance every other day for every fix. Best to do a lot at once.

eh, didn't mean to get argumentative. I wouldn't want maintenance or a version update that often, although once a week would be nice. I also forgot about the search function tidbit, pretty tired, haven't slept, etc, and that was my mistake. Still, my point is simply that information from SE, overall, is lacking. That's all.

Wait. Would have rather they waited the first time. Pretty sure I've established that, along with plenty of others. And iirc, wasn't something said somewhere about a fix patch in November for the UI/big issues, and a content patch in December? Maybe it was just something I read in the forum and am getting confused at the moment.

I don't really expect them to get it right anymore, but I am still hopeful. They are aware that we have problems, even if they don't seem to be expressing that they understand just how much, since there hasn't been a response of any kind to the massive bashing the press has given XIV.

But again, for me at least, it isn't so much about having the fix in the game as soon as possible. It's about information. They've said they're making a modification to the market wards this week (and we'll see how well that works), and that they're "aware there are complaints about the UI", but not much else. That road map would be awesome, but I've become skeptical that it will really contain much more than a general idea of what they're planning, and no real details.

The only thing I've back peddled on at all is the fact that I didn't know whether they'd add the search function for the market ward in the update this week because I was/am tired because I didn't sleep last night and forgot they had actually told us. It was a mistake, and I copped to it immediately. Pretty sure that, if anything, I've just been mostly repeating myself.
