My complaint is that they openly said they did shit they aren't telling us about, and important or not I'd like to know why they mentioned it yet hid the details of exactly what those "issues" are.Originally Posted by The Lodestone

Probably too minor to list? I mean, do you want them to list when they correct typing errors, font issues, alignment issues etc. too? Some people will find anything to complain about, like a nagging old wife.
Honestly, I was thinking more along the lines of wondering why I see a lot of those Enjin signatures suddenly blanked out today, and if it was related to that. You know, "Other issues have been addressed" being, counter-measures to information being lifted off of the Lodestone for purposes they don't approve of.
Actually including that in the list if it was just typos and shit like that would be pointless, that's stuff you just fix, you don't need to alert people about it.
People really will bitch about anything. Come on, this is pathetic.
I just assumed that the signatures are broke today because the Enjin server tried to update them during the Lodestone maintenance. But it could be something else. We'll see tomorrow.
Talking of fan sites, do SE just pick them randomly or do you have to submit them somewhere?
Selbina server dropped to below 1000 people online today, hovered between 970-1010 for a few hours.
That's Wutai every day around 7am GMT. In fact there's only 1060 right now.
Right now around 815pm EDT there are 933 people on Palamecia (500 of which including myself are afk bazaaring.) This is typical for NA prime time. If I'm up early in the morning at like 6am EDT there are often 1300-1400 people playing on weekdays and up to 1600 on weekends thanks to the JPs. NA prime time isn't a good indicator of average number of players because very few NAs play the game.
It doesn't necessarily mean doom. There is absolutely nothing to work towards in the game right now. Because of this people have little trouble dropping the game until it improves.
If I was S-E I would be working the shit out of my employees trying to get the "late November" patch out before the 23rd. I don't think a lot of the fence people are going to pay real money for playtime unless they can see the improvements themselves. I have $20 in funny money attached to my account that I'll be saving for whatever patch comes out near PS3 release. Definitely not giving them that money in the coming months.
Yeah there's a lot of people simply not logging in until the November patch.
It makes good business sense to get that out before the 22nd and since that's a Monday and maintenance is usually at the end of the week I'd guess 18th or 19th. Or they could push it to 25/26th. No point forcing it out before the 22nd if it can't be fully tested by then or they'll just piss people off again with bugs.
Well, on another note I've had trouble staying online ever since the last update. I frequently R0 and have to relog or come close to R0'ing and my abilities are delayed. Prior to the last few days I would never disconnect at all... Lately it's been every 20-40 minutes or so.
Edit: It just happened twice in 10 minutes. Fuck this game, I'm done
I've had d/c streaks when I'm constantly R0ing and finally d/c at some point as well. Always seems to be when I'm doing crafting though, which sucks x.x Normally I reset router/relog to fix it.
Being told there is something to know, and then having that information deliberately withheld has always been a pet peeve of mine, and I was just in an especially crappy mood this morning. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't have posted anything at all, more than likely. I've actually been avoiding posting, for the most part, regardless of how I feel about a topic lately.
As far as referring to the signatures being broken, that wasn't so much as a theory as an observation used as an example of something they might have potentially done. And I wouldn't put it past them, regardless of whether they just listed the site amongst their latest batch of community sites.
My lesson, ultimately, is to keep my mouth shut when I'm in a crappy mood whether something annoys me or not. I don't even really want to argue about anything related to XIV anymore, I feel pretty washed out by all of it, I am actually sorry I said anything at all.
The difference between free and £7 a month isn't much to people who are playing this on their expensive computers.
1am, 706 people on Kashuan...I smell server merges soon...
